Chris Judd - The Crime and the Punishment - 4 Weeks

Remove this Banner Ad

The incident is weird and will be dealt with accordingly. Two to three weeks you'd think.

Some of you guys need to stop acting like complete twats though. Juddy didn't bloody kill a man or rip his arm out. Adams had hurt his shoulder in previous weeks and apparently was close to being sent off for surgery. So that makes what Juddy did pretty unexcusable. However, he didn't bloody destroy the guys shoulder. His shoulder must have been pretty loose in the first place.

You know a thread has hit moronsville when you see statements like this.

But I'll play.

What redeeming features does a king hit have?

So you obviously haven't read the entire thread then? When did I say a king hit has anything redeemable about it at all? A king hit is a terrible act, a split-second brain snap. Judd had time to consider what he was doing. It was a dead ball.

North supporters out to crucify the guy, I see. I guess the histrionics is genetic.

There is no conceivable way that this is worse than a king-hit.

A king hit is more clear cut. I just think Judd had time to think about what he was doing, and still did it. I'm not condoning a king hit in any way.

"Carlton assistant coach Alan Richardson defended Judd on Melbourne radio SEN, saying the skipper was intent on stopping Adams from handballing and did not want to hurt him."

What a load of twang. How could he handball when someone is already sitting on top of him??? Rub him out for a month, it ranks as among one of the lowest acts in AFL I've seen, deliberately trying to injure someone when they are totally unable to defend themselves...

West Coast Eagles know all about setting out to crucify a player... just saying.

King-hits can be premeditated and can take an opponent by complete surprise. It can also be fatal.

This is a bizarre incident and I would start a lynch mob if Judd does not serve some time on the sidelines, but don't throw logic out the window just because the victim was your player.

Perhaps it was degenerating and they wanted to head off bans - happens sometimes. We have this thread so discuss the issue here.
It was being infested by opposition trolls. So, yes, it was degenerating.

I don't blame the mods for closing it down. Would have taken them ages to clean it up and then the process would have repeated itself anyway.

Obviously not in terms of blatant breaking of the laws of the game, but targeting someone who is completely defenceless with a weakened joint (the same area that Judd himself has trouble with) and moving it in a dangerous motion after play has stopped is disgusting behaviour. It wasn't a split second thing.
Oh right because every king hit is one that people see coming. Yeah good one. Tell that to the people who now have brain damage or are six feet under. It's not like Judd was running around throughout the game thinking of hurting Adams. What he did was a split second thing, a brain fade.
If you king hit someone they see it coming - what he did was against a defenceless player lying prone on the ground. Of course its worse
Like I said every person who has been king hit sees it coming don't they? Ridiculous comment, you should probably log off the computer. Imagine for a second that your son is at a night club or even on the footy field. Imagine someone did what Juddy did to him. Now imagine that someone came up behind him and struck him on the head knocking him out? Now tell me how the **** is what Juddy did worse? He didn't even do much because he was stopped.

Nah, just rip some of the ligaments and tendons that hold it in.

Putting wrist, elbow or shoulder locks on anyone whilst they're immobilised on the ground should be viewed the same as dropping the knees in with high level intent.

Anyone who's ever done any Jujutsu based martial art can tell you the locks look fairly innocuous, but hurt like hell and can very easily result in serious ligament tears or breaks with just a few degrees of movement.

His act was exceedingly low, even by his standards, and if the AFL are serious, they should get some expert help in determining just how much damage these locks can cause. A couple of minutes on a mat with an Aikidoka Sensei might help them see the light!

Australian tall poppy syndrome if this is the case. The guy did a dog act, will be punished, but is a star. What reason would the public have to be sick of one of the hardest working players the game has ever seen? He's not the first high profile player to do a dog act.

I love how Jimmy 'everyones hero' Bartel has escaped public scrutiny for blatantly whacking a player down behind the play only last week.
Judd clearly has a history of attacking players while they are defenseless on the ground pinned by his teammates , jimmy was a once off with no prior history of doing th same attack over and over.

If you can't see the difference then you need help.

This thread knows no depths of stupid.

I'm obviously more annoyed because it is a North Melbourne player, I'll concede that. I just think targeting someone who has a clear history of injuries to that part of the body when they are completely defenceless is the lowest of the low.

I'm sure Juddy studies the injury report before each game, right? And don't say he should know as he has strapping. So what? That could've been from one injury a week ago.

No I wouldn't like it. Obviously some North fans and Judd haters would rather see their child king hit though!

Yes, that is exactly what I meant. I would like the AFL to write letters out to everyone who has ever been suspended/sanctioned for king hitting another player, and also reimburse them for any pay lost as a result of missing games due to said sanctions.
