WCE were interested in Oakley-Nicholls, we could use him as a sweetner :)

the words Oakley-Nicholls, interested and sweetner should never be said in the same sentence.

he is the worst player in the afl. and if you don't believe get a tape of coburg's vfl game last weekend

I have a thought and I'm prepared to wear some you're an idiot comments but I'm going to throw it out there regardless:

Tuck JON and pick 18 for Judd.

Before you all jump in and have a go just think about it for a minute.

Tuck is 25 , 189cm and 90 kg, averaged 23 possessions 3.6 tackles 6.5 first possessions and 4.5 clearances at the worse side in the comp while playing most of the year injured.

Compare that to Judd who is 24, 189cm and 85kg, averaged 23 possessions a game 3.9 tackles 5.4 first possessions and 5.7 clearances playing for the best side in the comp while playing most of the year injured.

While Tuck is not in Judd's league as far as standing in the AFL is concerned he is a very similar type of player and would be able to slot straight into the WC midfield with little trouble.

JON is somewhat a mystery but could come on a lot quicker with the Eagles who have an ability to fast track the development of their kids. And pick 18 would give them a second pick in the top 20 with the distinct possibility of snaring another WA kid.

However if that deal does not work how about pick 2 and Tuck & JON for Judd and the Eagles first round. I think that might be stretching it but it does allow the Eagles to get Morton who they fancy so they might be willing to part with their first rounder as they get JON who was a first round pick 2 years back.

Something to think about at least.

That would go close I should imagine. Picks are what the Eagles have said that they are after rather than players and 3 & 5 would be fair compensation for Judd. Remember he was pick 3 when he was drafted and since then he has won a Brownlow and a Norm Smith and is generally recognised as one of the finest players in the competition .

I think the Dogs are in an interesting position. They're at a point where they either need to go all out to have a real crack at the title or they need to drop down a bit for a year or two to add to their list. Plus they're in a good position to be a key player in the Judd Hysteria with their top 5 pick. If I was making the call for the Dogs I wouldn't want Fev, I'd be thinking we're a couple of years from a real crack and a younger player would be a better fit. Not sure who though. Should be an interesting time trade week.

Fevola himself is worth huge currency

Fevola at West Coast would make them a better and more potent Team that Judd

If the Eagles Had Fevola the last 3 years you would have won 3 flags

The Eagles have shown time and time again they can cover the loss of midfield stars because that's were their depth is and thats where they can afford to lose a player even of the quality of Judd.

You throw Fevola in the the Eagles line up and next year they will have the flag already locked up.

Fevola and Pick 3 for Judd and their 2nd round pick

Having said the above I would prefer to go:

Pick 1 for Judd straight swap

The Eagles will not get better than that

Kennedy is only 20 years old people, he was taken at pick 4 with huge raps from the WA. He is playing CHF for a team that has been terrible and has shown promise. He will be a 200 game CHF and a key forward for the future. Pick 3 and Kennedy is a very good deal

No it's not. Judd is the best player in the league. Kennedy has played what, 20 half decent games. Pick 3 is a gamble. Judd being injured sadly is undervalueing the ridiculous price he is really worth.

I think the most logical trade is Pick 3 and Fevola for Judd and a 3rd rounder. West Coast don't need the No. 1 Pick, it makes no difference whether they have 1 or 3. Kreuzer and Cotchin will, more than likely, go at 1 and 2, and West Coast are after one of the W.A kids, either Masten, Morton or Palmer. Even if they had pick 1 I still don't think they would draft a Vic kid as he may also want to go home some day.

The other option is Fevola goes to Bulldogs for Pick 5, then Pick 3 and 5 go to W.C for Judd. Allowing them to draft two of the W.A boys.

so in this deal Carlton lose picks 3,9,20 and fevola and richmond only lose pick 18?

I'd love that to happen.

The trade will be Fevola + Pick 3 for Chris Judd. Watch for it.

I'd say the other scenario of the Bulldogs trading the 5th pick for Fevola is more likely

Carlton will have some salary cap relief by trading Fevola so they can pay for Judd and still retain the coveted 1st pick to get Kruezer.

The Bulldogs need a power forward desperately otherwise their chances of being a premiership contender in the near future is unlikely.

West Coast will accept pick 3 & 5 as it will ensure they get two of Morton, Palmer or Masten

Why is everyone assuming we want the WA boys? I bet there will be some surprises and I don't think we would pick Morton even with pick 3.

We will.

I'd say you're dreaming.

Fev would get us more than pick five in this draft and we don't have to sell everything to get Judd.

If we get Judd, it won't be at the expense of Fevola.

Trading your best forward would be a stupid move and make the Judd trade pointless.

The Pies traded Tarrant because they believed they had offer options to fill his shoes.

No one can replace Fev.

Judd wouldn't want to join a club by making it give up it's best matchwinner.

Fevola will be 27 next year so i doubt he is worth much more than pick 5, paticularly when you take into account his on & off field issues.

Plus if Carlton want Judd they are going to need some salary cap relief. The likes of Murphy and Gibbs will be coming out of their 2 year initial contracts soon

And is Fevola a match winner

He has had a great couple of seasons yet Carlton have been so poor in those years that they have qualified for a compensation pick by only winning 8 of those 24games in the two years period.

If Kennedy ( Pick 4 in the 2005 draft) is as good as Carlton fans suggest then he should have no problems replacing Fevola as the key forward option
