If you could read, you would know Chris himself suggests the deal was ticked off before he signed.

The AFL are just "going over it" again to appease the bed-wetters 🥰
So what does he do at his new 'job'? Show up on Friday to collect his pay cheque? He must have magical powers to hold down two heavy duty jobs.

"AFL ‘making inquiries’ into Cats coach’s eyebrow-raising new role with major club sponsor.

The AFL is reportedly launching an official investigation into Chris Scott’s new role with a major club sponsor.

The Geelong coach was recently announced as the new chief of leadership and performance at Morris Finance, which has sponsored the Cats for the 14 years.

And while Scott has already responded to raised eyebrows about soft cap implications, Seven’s Mitch Cleary reports the league is digging deeper."

Not surprised. Typical scumbag move from Scott. A man who is used to cheating and being protected by Stephen Hocking and others.
Lol you get he is the coach right? The idea there is a salary cap for coaches is farcical in the first case. Who cares.

And how does he get paid for his wisdom? A man that has never done anything but play and coach sport.
He's offering wisdom on leadership among other things.

He's a dual premiership player and coach and leads one of the most progressive and successful sports organisations in the country and has done for nearly 15 years. He's been a "leader" for over 30 years.

The AFL community (well the non-pinhead element) recognise how canny Scott is. Now the business sector do too. They benefit from his experience in a high-pressure, high-visibility job.

The reason he can get paid to offer his wisdom is because he didn't sleep around on his wife, then lie to his club and supporters about being "burnt out" before accepting a massive deal at a rival a few months later.

Everyone bar you knows it's a rort sunny Jim.

Chris Scott is like some modern day Da Vinci, and there's no doubt he can coach the Cats to another flag

So he's gping to be with you for another 13 years? Excellent

The AFL community... recognise how canny Scott is. Now the business sector do too

If by "business sector" you mean 1 business... who just happen to be a sponsor, then yeh :$

Only in the sense that the entire corporate world and modern culture are a rort.

Australian organisations would gladly employ someone for advice on leadership from a person who's involved in one of the biggest businesses in the country.

They'd gladly pay someone of his calibre to be part of their business. It gives them credibility, cachet, and access to all the things he's learned and learning (eg the study trips he takes etc).

It delivers tremendous value to a company like Morris (50~ employees), a reasonably young business based in Geelong striving to be bigger and better. If you want to learn to be better, you find someone who's better to show you how.

It would deliver value to most businesses if only for the "Highly respected AFL Coach, Chris Scott, is a member of our team mentoring our future leaders" line, plus all the networking opportunities that come with it.

But I can see why Richmond fans might not understand that. Nobody's employing Yze, Hardwick or Terry Wallace for those reasons. If it weren't for football, those blokes would be scrubbing dunnies at Flinders St and blowing up at Maccas workers in Springvale.

Perhaps you should spend less time being a faux-intellectual and more time actually putting your brain in gear - it's embarrassing.

Let's see what the AFL think before you go off on a trumpian style speech.

Let's see what the AFL think before you go off on a trumpian style speech.
Says Aristotle Pighead:

"This rigging of the the soft cap is pure Geelong."
"Scott should get 12 weeks for this scam."
"Chris Scott would sell his grandmother for a few bucks."
"Chris Scott= Cheat"
"Typical scumbag move from Scott."

He is highly experienced at sweeping substance abuse issues under the carpet.
I can see why some struggling enterprises would seek such expertise.
