Aren't they all near telstra exchange buildings... meaning he's familiar with the areas from his work duties?

Could be but the only link to Telstra workers being anywhere near the dump sites that I noticed was when the knife was found in Wellard

Interestingly, i have read that the naval gaurd who witnessed Dorrough arrive with Sara Lee Davey said 2 taxi's arrived during the timeframe, one obviously contained Dorrough and Davey but I cant recall what the business of the second cab was.
Considering SS, JR and CG we're apparently waiting for taxi's, the reference to taxi's being present at the SLD disappearance shouldn't be overlooked imo.

Could SLD have entered a car masquerading as a taxi as SS is believed to have done.
Was BRE using his Telstra vehicle with 'T' branding to appear as though a taxi
The naval guards account cant be discredited, though he is a witness. We dont know if he seen everything.

Crap? Crap is claiming he committed a murder without any proof whatsoever that he had the capability of doing it.

A couple of things that came out during his trial that put him in Perth in January 1997.

In 1997 John Philpott was a consultant physician working at
Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in the Department of Pulmonary Physiology
and Sleep medicine. The accused saw Dr Philpott on two occasions: first
on 8 January 1997 for a consultation
and again on 10 March 1997 after
the accused had spent a night in a sleep laboratory at the hospital.

Records regarding the accused's leave history show that the leave he
took between 12 February 1995 and 15 March 1997 was recreation leave
on 18 May 1995, 6 November 1995 to 29 November 1995, 4 November
1996 to 29 November 1996, sick leave on 4 May 1995, 18 July 1995,
24 July 1995, 25 July 1995, 22 February 1996, 29 May 1996, 26 August
1996, 9 October 1996, 17 October 1996, 28 October 1996, 29 October

I have looked for anything on that date that may definitely place him in a specific spot. His 2nd wife kept notes on his ATM transaction from 1996 to 2000, this would have been the best way to put him at specific location, but alas. the only missing bank statement was #16 for Dec 1996 to April 1997 so there are no records for Jan 97.

I mentioned earlier the possible trigger for that date, being the break up with his girlfriend CH. Since then I have found more info. That missing bank statement period coincides with the time frame when he was courting another the lady referred to as KM in the court documents. They were in a relationship from Dec 96 until April 97. The significance being that he was in TWO relationships at that time.

Not sure how one could access flight records from so long ago but seen as there are only a few days surrounding the 14th that he would have to get to Broome he would have most likely had to fly up. Driving would take 2 1/2 days minimum. Yes ya can do that trip in 24 hrs non stop by road but that is a big task.

Anyways no i haven't found anything for that date specifically or a few days either side, so as it stands, as far as I can tell, it is possible for him to have been there on that date.

No worries, just thought that if there were records from telstra as to days off, then they may have them for where they sent him.

There were problems when it came to getting Telstra records. A lot revolved around that at that time Telecom was becoming Telstra, analogue becoming digital, emergence of desktop computers and mobile phones and the Internet and as a result the record system went through many changes. That also affected vehicles, logos, uniforms etc etc...

This is what we have to work with in that regard:

A work schedule for the accused could not be located.
Mr Vomero was able to say that the accused worked full time in the late
1990s, comprised of a 73.3 hour fortnight, which is a nine day fortnight,
working 8.10 hours a day. A list of allowances paid to the accused and
recorded in the Telstra payroll system (RAPS) was produced. The system
shows that on 11 February 1995 the accused claimed three hours overtime
at time and a half and six hours at double time. He claimed two
allowances in relation to work on 25 January 1996 (disability and field
cable allowances).

Various payslips and summary reports for the accused were
produced, including for the periods ending 7 February 1996, 21 February
1996, 6 March 1996, 12 June 1996, 26 June 1996, 19 March 1997 and
2 April 1997. There are a number of entries on these slips for allowances
and overtime, but not with the date 27 January 1996. These slips show
that the accused was working in the fortnightly pay periods in which each
of the offences are alleged to have occurred.

1996, 31 October 1996, 6 February 1997, 7 March 1997 and bereavement
leave on 15 January 1997.

There is a record in the personnel file of the accused of some
workplace incidents he had been involved in. The accused sustained an
injury at work on 9 April 1996. Telstra does not hold any records relating
to the accused's assault on WD on 7 May 1990.

Claremont mini-series among huge Seven line-up for 2023

Tues 25 Oct 2022: BBM:

Channel Seven has revealed that Australian entertainment royalty Erik Thompson and Kate Ritchie will lead the cast of The Claremont Murders, the highly anticipated drama series based on one of Western Australia’s most notorious crimes.

Until now a closely guarded secret, the casting announcement was made at Seven’s upfronts presentation in Sydney, which saw the network unveil its programming line-up for 2023.

Seven Network Chief Content Officer, Entertainment Programming, Angus Ross, told The West Australian the two-part Claremont series would be “a major television event in 2023”.

The Claremont Murders, which has already completed filming in Perth, centres around the investigation into the disappearances of Sarah Spiers, Jane Rimmer and Ciara Glennon from Claremont in the late 1990s.

It looks at the 25-year search for justice by police “and one tenacious journalist” determined to seek justice, and how the perpetrator of the women’s murders was eventually captured.

The veteran stars of Home and Away and Packed To The Rafters will join Ryan Johnson (Doctor Doctor), Catherine VănDavies (The Twelve), Aaron Glenane (Shantaram) and Laura Gordon (Undertow) in the Screentime-produced series. Andrea Demetriades (Janet King), Craig Hall (Boy directed by Taika Waititi) and Jeremy Lindsay Taylor (Puberty Blues) also round out the key cast, along with Tasma Walton (Mystery Road), Joel Jackson (Peter Allen: Not the Boy Next Door), Tom O’Sullivan (Alien: Covenant) and Dalip Sondhi (Frayed). Their roles are, as-yet, unknown.

“This is a two-part mini series that has been years in the making — I first spoke to Screentime about this series three or four years ago,” Mr Ross said.

“It was one of Australia’s biggest manhunts; one of Australia’s longest unsolved crimes.

“We have a great cast for this, and it is dealt with very sensitively. It is a fascinating story.

Is there more information regarding this? dates, context?

Also in regards to the Peta Weber addition to your pattern. You may want to keep track of the Inquest into Julie Cutler's disappearance that begins next week. The reason I say this is even though the last sighting of JC was on the 20th June her car was found on the 22nd of June < which is match for that date on your chart.

Suspected Death of Julie CUTLER

Before: Deputy State Coroner S H Linton
Counsel Assisting : J Tiller

Location: Court 85, 8th floor, Central Law Courts, 501 Hay Street, Perth
Date & Time: 3-4 November 2022 at 10.00am

You blokes do some awesome work for sure on here. The info on the focus on broome was last year, mid to late in the year, cant pinpoint the month.

Yeh for sure, never thought of that.

Would anyone know what TE's middle name is, if he has one ? The purpose is simply to find out if he lived in broome in 1997, which may give BRE reason to be there.

I went back thru court transcripts to see if there was a trigger event in his life for the 14th Jan 97... and there was, that was when his girlfriend at the time, referred to as CH in the transcripts broke off the relationship with him so that does fit the pattern of his triggers and does add credence to the date of SLDs disappearance matching a bit more.

"CH continued to see the accused over a period of time until late 1996
or early 1997; she can recall this because she met her former husband a
couple of weeks before 3 November 1996. She stopped seeing the
accused when she relocated not long after Christmas and did not give the
accused her new phone number."

But there are also a few Telstra Living Witnesses statements/sightings at or around that date also. The 14th also falls in the middle of when his parents returned from OS on the 12th and departed again on the 19th.

Hey BonzaRam just wondering how/where I can access the transcripts for this trial? Cheers
