Stuart Dew didn't look like he was watching the game, was sitting on the bench sooking it up. I reckon Fly gave him 4 votes. He was my second best on ground.Interesting that Josh was rated 2nd best by 1 coach and missed out from the other.
Hard to blame him. Not sure I'd want to watch either if I was coaching the SunsStuart Dew didn't look like he was watching the game, was sitting on the bench sooking it up. I reckon Fly gave him 4 votes. He was my second best on ground.
Don't think he will have to for much longerHard to blame him. Not sure I'd want to watch either if I was coaching the Suns
He’s been the biggest aspect causing the Pies’ improvement this year IMO. My theory is that Fly is deliberately not giving him votes so oppo scouts don’t notice how vital he is.Mitchell on 11 doesn’t do justice to his season at all

In Dusty's "GOAT" season in 2017, after round 17, Dusty was on 82 votes. In fact, having a quick browse going back to 2006, Nick's year-to-date tally is the highest ever, except for Nat Fyfe in 2015, and on par with GAJ in 2007.So he’s 14 votes clear of next best currently…. I’m almost speechless

Agreed. Thought they were the 2 stand put players in the game. At least both coaches agreedI wonder who gave Quaynor the 5 votes. Was hard to split both he and Nick.

Quaynor was good in the second half but he also conceded a few goals in the first half which should’ve precluded him from being best on in ground.Agreed. Thought they were the 2 stand put players in the game. At least both coaches agreed
Wouldn't be surprised if McRae was responsible for the 5 to Quaynor. I don't think we see our defence as individuals against individuals. Weightman scored goals, yes. That does not necessarily mean they were the fault of Quaynor even if he was his designated opponent. Our defenders zone off a lot, they are not expected to stick to their man and be solely responsible for them.Quaynor was good in the second half but he also conceded a few goals in the first half which should’ve precluded him from being best on in ground.
If that's true he's definitely fooled David King. He thinks Mitchell should be dropped or at least be under pressure. Pies are too good to carry an accumulator and Mitchell's clearance numbers have dropped off. He’s been the biggest aspect causing the Pies’ improvement this year IMO. My theory is that Fly is deliberately not giving him votes so oppo scouts don’t notice how vital he is.
King actually clarified on SEN today was that he meant Mitchell will get forced out of the centre bounce more often with Nick dominating. If that's true he's definitely fooled David King. He thinks Mitchell should be dropped or at least be under pressure. Pies are too good to carry an accumulator and Mitchell's clearance numbers have dropped off.
King has usually been very astute with his analysis but he’s lost if he thinks this.If that's true he's definitely fooled David King. He thinks Mitchell should be dropped or at least be under pressure. Pies are too good to carry an accumulator and Mitchell's clearance numbers have dropped off.
