Yeah me too. I can see why no. 3 is regarded as the red-headed step child of the bunch, but I still enjoy it. More Kreese, Terry Silver and bad boy Mike Barnes :D

Really all it was missing was a decent move to finish the bad guy. Daniel's kata thing to focus and calm himself... Mike Barnes is utterly perplexed by it.. fu**s sake, just hit him again bad boy! Crane kick or okinawan hand drum it was not lol :tearsofjoy:
Can't remember if i actually posted this or not but it never sat well with me Daniel being scared.
You know, after Chozen ACTUALLY TRIED TO KILL HIM !!!

Daniel-San was only scared after the beatings he received during the actual fight itself. Barnes "toyed" with him like a rag doll.

He wasnt actually scared to take on Barnes.

Daniel held his own better against Chozen.

I might have my timelines wrong here, but I am sure that Daniel's preparation for the tournament fight in KK3 was literally only a couple of weeks of training with Miyagi, while Barnes was in form and training hard throughout the entire time. Daniel was doing BS training with Silver at the dojo which obviously doesnt count, as they were trying to physically and mentally break him.

Fun Fact, ironically the actor playing Barnes had sustained internal bleeding during the movie. So much so, he was almost recast.

you could be right Grott. I like that theory.
Another theory I have is that I think the Final Tournament fight will be Sam v Tory in S4 and not Miguel v Robbie. I think the latter rematch will happen, but its just too obvious to do it again like S1.

If I am not mistaken the Tournament allows for Males v Females. So here I also think Sam will be "out of commission" by Robbie's new black mate from prison. Forcing her to fight injured v Tory in the Final.

While Cobra Kai is not woke, it is 2021, I expect the Final match of S4 at the tournament to be the girls fighting.

I really hope they go with separate boys and girls divisions, allowing both a Sam v Tori and Miguel v Robbie finale.

I know they had a chick fighting in the boys division in season 1, but that stood out to me as pretty whack.

They should but they wont. As S3 concluded, Kreese stated the dojo that wins the tournament in S4 will continue while the loser will perish. That implies to me that it will be all out, everyone fighting against anyone.

An average guy that has some skill or proficiency would beat almost any girl, regardless of her skill set. Its really no contest.

Hopefully they bring Aisha back and she has to choose between Sam and Tory.
From what I have reading online they copped a bit of flak for writing Aisha out of S3. She definitely will return in S4 IMO.

Apparently she has also lost a lot of weight.

Yeah I can let it slide in the dojo/street/wherever for the sake of story and drama, but girls fighting boys in a sanctioned organised tournament is just silly and a step too far imo. Even in 2021 lol.

Just got around to finishing season 3. Thought it was okay, like Season 2.

Has some funny bits especially when Johnny and Daniel are together. I thought Kreese's short backstory was really well done.

The feud between the kids really doesn't do it for me. Found myself skipping over some of those bits, it is too corny and too predictable.

What? You don’t like Hawk getting upset and wanting to beat up his former nerd mate because he is dissing his dojo?...

Good series, William Zabka is the best part of it, and his storyline is also the best in my opinion. He has the arc of having to get his life in order, and is the most relatable.

I noticed a bit of an anti-SJW agenda which is interesting. I suppose they are targeting 80s kids who would not be into today's version of political correctness, so it makes sense.

I didn't like how the relationships broke down for no good reason. LaRusso's daughter gets grounded so Miguel thinks she is breaking up with him and he gets drunk and hits her. It's a believable chain of circumstances but it doesn't tell much of a story.

I also didn't like Johnny Lawrence's kid.

Daniel LaRusso also didn't need to tell Johnny at the end that he got what he wanted. From a writing perspective it was a bit heavy handed, but as a character it was unnecessary, as Johnny was trying to show concern and perhaps pride in his son.

Other than that, I really enjoyed this series. I liked some of the 80s references, such as Rocky III, and I was hoping they would have a Rocky III moment at the end, although that never happened. The main young character/s turning out to be the bad guys was a nice surprise and unusual for a teen show.

I would centre the show more around Johnny and his struggles from now on, assuming they go into Season 2.

Ever heard of a spoiler alert?? **** me...

Late to the scene, but can’t believe how much I’m enjoying it. Honestly thought it’d be dog shit & I’d sack after 10 mins, but I’m binging 2-3 eps a night. William Zabka makes the show & love how the script is flipped between him & Daniel. The linking back to KK isn’t overdone or too cheesy either. Loving it so far.

Don’t comment unless you know the context in which I made mine. I didn’t read beyond season 1 or even close to it.
What a ridiculous comment. when the show is out We discuss what happens. The season 1 pages are for people to talk about season 1 after it comes out. No one wants to click on a spoiler tab every post. Dont read if you dont want to be spoiled.
