Cobra Kai S3 was set and ready for release in May last year, but they decided to pull it back and release it later. Given the filming restrictions in regards to the pandemic, S4 would have been released next month in a "normal world", Im not sure whether it is finished or not at this stage.

Season 4 officially started filming in late February and I think the filming schedule was for 3 months of filming. There are literally 8 months left of the year, I would be shocked if they didn’t have ten 25-40 minute episodes ready to air this year given they’re almost completed filming. :p

But you are right that the pandemic has messed up shooting of movies and shows but in the case of Cobra Kai, they’ve been filming for a while and this is official news from Netflix. And I think with season 3, Netflix aired it this year because they wanted to have content to show in the early part of this year, season 3 actually completed filming in 2019.

Wonder if they will address the death in show?

What makes a great show is the universe it builds, the setting, and things like having small characters in recurring roles and the same actor throughout achieve that. Ed Asner had a small but important part in there.

Same with homeless lady, pawn shop owner, etc.

So just finished binging this show

Parts of this show are fantastic and great and I love it

Then there are parts that piss me off and frustrate the **** out of me

I love the Johnny story arcs and the John Kreese arc too especially the flick back to his past in Vietnam

But the whole Daniel story line and his daughter pisses me off so ****ing much. It's shit and the show would be amazing if they pissed them off imo

Plus it is comically how much these adults hold grudges and think things that happened 40 years ago have been so important to them now as old people
 
Ok, I know the delivery isn't always great, but the non verbal acting in this is superb. The acting with Johnny and Daniel silent in the elevator at the end of season two is top notch I won't be told otherwise.

Likewise, yes these two guys holding on to a grudge is ridiculous, but it's also the only reason the show exists. That's the plot that drives it.

Good call. My favourite probably in the entire series is the blink-and-you'll-miss-it little eyebrow raise Johnny gives Daniel when they're both talking to Ali and find out she's single, I lost it :tearsofjoy:
