Wow, only 10 players from the northern academies, 11 if you count NT which I assume is linked to GC or the Bears. Have to wonder how they’ll survive.

Brisbane don’t have access to NT. Suns only have Darwin so if it doesn’t state Suns Academy next to a NT prospect then they are not linked. Kids could be from somewhere other than Darwin.

Yeah you wonder how with all the disadvantages, the interstaters had 3 in prelims and both grand finalists.

Tommy looks and reads like an Errol Gulden/Zach Merrett type of player.

As much as we need an inside bull to help Nick, it’d be nice to also pair him with another elite ball user that has high footy IQ.

Thats exactly what he is.
Very good ball user, high IQ, dual sided and very smart player, who can hit the scoreboard.

I can see him starting his career either on the wing or as a small forward until he builds up.

Yep his goal sense is pretty underrated, which is why I have no concerns about his size, even though he has time on his side. People forget Nick wasn’t the biggest bloke entering AFL.

Gulden another when he started.
Noah Long from Eagles looked like he was 12 when drafted.

I witnessed Tommy run a 2km at the club in under 6 mins when he was 15.

Don’t doubt your witness but I would query the distance measurement on that time. Would put him in the top few at any draft combine.

So was it 3 or 4 laps? Not doubting he is a decent runner but he isn’t pulling out anywhere near 6 mins at that age

I can’t totally recall how many but it was either 3 or 4 given it was a few years ago
Either way it felt like he was a decent runner and would have improved in that area since. Covers the ground well from what I’ve seen in games as well

I think that's preferable to the bull. Nick is going to be our primary hitout target - he'll be a clearance machine - need blokes for him to link up with.
