I can see by the team you support you have a bias (as do I) on this subject.

But how far back through your post history would I have to go to find you chastising members for posting rumours that are unsubstantiated by fact or a link to an article per your own board rules?

Not too far I suspect.

I have posted constantly in this thread about the reasons why this thread is open. Chief has done so too. I have also posted that I do not want any comments re moderation or the like. But despite these warnings and a great many of your posts being deleted, you continue to do so. Last warning.

There's going to be comments about the moderation , due to this thread causing a paradigm shift on previous moderation and defined rules that were in place. It's not just Collingwood supporters that have noted that.

Imagine how many rumours there are going to be next year when we go

back to back!

I was answering a moderators question, and it is hardly just me that sees the hypocrisy.

I guess I'm a little more stunned than most because I'm new and the first thing I did here was read the rules of the board as advised.

Well, as per Big Footy rules, discussion of moderation is not permitted on the boards.

Chief has posted his reasons. The mods are currently discussing the issue and ramifications. My suggestion, as someone posted earlier, is not to post because between the off-topics, the whinging and the trolls, which are getting deleted, this thread would have dropped off the main page some time last night

Well that is exactly why I would imagine you have those rumour rules in place, to avoid that kind of behaviour along with any litigation.

But I did as you asked earlier and PM'd my concerns to Chief.. he struck me as a very passionate Carlton supporter.

Good to see the rivalry is alive and kicking, even though their club hasn't been for awhile. :p

The irony is that while this thread stays open the moderation team will be wasting valuable time it.

I'm happy for it to stay at the top, increasing the risk of the thread overstepping the mark and Bigfooty will have to share the blame.

Its not like they haven't been warned

You get the irony here right? We are not trying to be unreasonable, but the contradiction is just so astounding.

Chief calls the shots, and he has made that call. Get over it or take it up with him.

Well, my patience is going to run out very shortly deleting posts especially after continually posting not to go OT or to criticise moderation.

And yes, Chief has no doubt noted your warnings.

You do realise that what you posted is rubbish. Not that you have to worry as nothing like this will be allowed to happen again. Six pies is what the players say it is.

You think so do you?
Well you are wrong....

The irony is that while this thread stays open the moderation team will be wasting valuable time it.

Not irony, its cold hard fact.

This thread is not worthy of being treated seriously. If mods choose to spend every waking minute cleaning it up rather than take the more pragmatic route of closing it,thats their problem.

If the AFL or Collingwood give us credible notification that there is no truth to this rumour and request that we remove this thread we are happy to post their statement and close this thread, disallowing further discussion.

The rules themselves need a re-write. The intention is to keep people from exposing themselves to legal action, but really that is not our job.

Personally this thread has brought up some very interesting information on drg detection so I say play on, but remember you are responsible for what you post.

so this is the response you refer to grizzly. about midday yesterday. nothing since.

it took a while to find, and the one question i now ask is.....how long has it been since any 'very interesting information of drug detection' been posted ?

as per rules, not questioning the mods reasoning. just opening a sub issue.

Can you prove that this isnt correct? Even the most bias of Pies supporters cant get what story there all following right. Was it six tested positive but marginally under? Was it not them at all? Was it natural hormones? Lets just say you dont know shit.

I will gladly take the word of these young players over yours.
Which young players? That just sounds like more rumour to me. It's amazing how many people get away with that when talking about Collingwood.

Simple: post on topic, about the subject.
Come on mate, 2 hours worth of posts were wiped out, on topic and off topic.

And if we are having trouble staying on topic I'm sure that's more to do with the nature of an unsubstantiated rumor, what exactly is the topic without any facts, sources or articles to go by?

I'm pretty sure all of the above is exactly why you have rules disallowing this type of thread.

Question ?
Has there been any official confirmation that the alleged rumour is incorrect ?
I read on here not so long ago that Ben Cousins was dead from an O/D whilst visiting his family in WA , despite having clear information to the contrary , I didn't get on her whinging about it's validation, or of it being able to be discussed upon here . I actually was laughing my guts out at some of the allegations .
But hey that's the benefit of knowing it's not true ?
Anyone who makes a statement, as Chief has previously pointed out needs to tread carefully , but hey what's the big deal, there are a mountain of rumours started annually that are discussed upon forums that prove to be just that , Rumours .
Maybe the issue is that there has be no official response, stating that its not correct , hardly the fault of a forum set up to discuss issues of interest within the AFL ?
