True.....
Guess we'll know soon enough, but given there was the talk it was Tarni white in exchange for Steph/Jamiee. I'd hate to lose Lambert though, but guess we'll know next week
But unfortunately I think one of them is gone at least unfortunately.
Just looked at Lambert's insta, she no longer has her player number in her bio...

I’m fine with losing Steph. Did well
Under Very tough circumstances…but shouldn’t have been playing last season.
Lambert hurts….but getting white Back softens this.

We’re not winning it this year. So with losing Chloe…a second year in a holding pattern (last year due to ACLs) while we wait for compo (which will probably be pick 57) and can head back to the well….again!
Re:chasten …probably gets another year due to absolutely no reason to go to the draft. Is there a better overage player than chasten out there? Doubt it.
Especially given no football has been played since the last season Finished….

What a mess the AFLW finds itself in…such a shame.

Oh ok, l guess we can read a little bit into that. She will be a loss, but as l've said previously, she is going on 31 and her trajectory as a player has been reached.
With White coming in, who is 22/23, and Davey, along with Bonnici back, will be 3 good inclusions into that midfield.

The midfields influence will be cut in half if we don’t get a decent ruck.

Chiocci is following St Kilda; Lambert is not.

But put two and two together and they're both likely out the door. Sad to lose the first captain but the AFLW has been so fluid with movements, it fits the narrative. I guess the advantage is that a diamond in the rough can still be found.

I agree.
Given that Downie was dropped toward the end of the season, she's clearly not the answer. We need a better ruck. The fact that Sharni, was our best ruck says a alot. Hope we target one.

Apparently Tarni Brown might be on the trade table. Word has it, the family is a little unhappy with the brothers delisting's. Hawthorn look like the prime candidate, we need that No.1 Vic pick if we are to get back in the game. That pick is power and we desperately need it.

Looking at her insta, she has deleted collingwood stuff

Geez.

Geez.
We may have to give them a set of steak knives as well otherwise they can easily draft her. Perhaps Casey or Membrey, or both. Either way it's the right play to launch an offer for Bre Moody, Charlie Rowbottom, or maybe Emma King.

Just asked someone in the know.

There was something to it, but Tarni wants to stay

Steph and Lambert back gone.
Bri to be the sole captain then you'd think.

Also Sophie Abbatangelo (ex-North) has been linked to us.

Of course she has, another Diamond Creek reject.

With Tarni, l gather she is staying then, as she wants too?

So Lambert and Chiocci will both be at St Kilda, with White and draft picks or another player coming our way?

Also not sure why we're chasing a delisted 32 year old from North, who's a medium size forward. Is it for experience or they looking at Abbatangelo playing the Molloy role up forward?
Not sure why we're not looking at a young ruck or key forward.

We definitely need another ruck as I dont see Downie getting a new contract. Can we bring Sharni out of retirement? lol

Maybe we're interested in Abbatanglo for her forward pressure and experience. Not sure.

"The Saints are also set to secure Collingwood pair Steph Chiocci and Jaimee Lambert, with Tarni White expected to be traded to the Magpies as part of that deal."

Nothing new here.
I think brisbane has lost a lot more than us. Wardlaw is out the door too.

Chiocci don't mind losing, as l thought she would’ve retired after season 7, at 34 years old.
Lambert l'm 50/50 about, a good in and under player, but has reached her full potential and at 31 could be on the downward spike as a player.
Good to get in a young mid like White, with Davey and Bonnici back. We should be keeping Brown, as her and Lin are part of that young midfield group coming through. Hopefully we bring in a ruck this trade period.

I read this about white. She could replace Lambert

This year, White ranks No.1 in the AFLW for tackles (10.5 per game) and is top-five for both ranking points (198 per game) and score involvements (five per game). She is in the top 10 for pressure points (56.3 per game) and contested possessions (11.5 per game).

But she's also winning more of the ball. Her disposal numbers have gone from 8.3 per game in year one, to 10.9 per game in year two, to 12.7 per game last season. To start the current campaign, she's averaging 17.5 disposals per match.

That complements career-high numbers for clearances (4.5 per game) and intercept possessions (five per game), evidence of her massive influence in St Kilda's unbeaten start to the season courtesy of a 29-point win over Sydney and a 53-point victory over Hawthorn.

The connection between Collingwood's midfield and forward line is lacking, and although co-captain Brianna Davey's return from an ACL injury will greatly assist in this, she cannot be the side's only reliable conduit to attack. Adding some midfielders/wingers who can identify valuable options inside 50 and have the skills to back up that decision-making, will help the Pies draw more out of their forward make-up.

I think their forgetting Bonnici in this write up, of what we need this trade period.
To me, Bonnici is our best player, when she's fit and healthy. I think she is one of the best mids in the AFLW by a long way, and she will be a great addition back into our midfield this coming season.
Surprised they don't mention our lack of ruck talent, as an area to strengthen.

If they are talking about someone to hit up the fwds....then they should be talking about Allen.
Her disposal by foot & decision making is off the charts in comparison to most of the others.

I'd be challenging her to push into the midfield more and become the player that we get the ball too as often as possible.

I have intel that Cann will stay. However, I'm curious, how many of you have completely lost interest in the AFLW season to the point that there is no point?
I am still very keen on the AFLW, there are things that I am not liking about it but I am still ready to pledge to be a member of the club again and follow the AFLW side....I am hoping that they schedule another Pies/Roos game at North Hobart so I can see the girls in action.

Don't get me wrong, I love Brit. I never knew how good she was until the year she got injured. She's smart and is a ball winner in her own right and can run on the outside. But Bri she's definitely our best player. Heck, she was the best player in the competition in 2021 before her injury. She just is that big bull that can be the difference in the midfield and up forward.

We need to add to our ruck.
We also need a bit of x factor up forward, James can't do it all herself.
We need another tall to help out Barber -- who needs more opportunities.

We need more outside run. Another pressure player. The ball got out of the F50 way too easily.
