Not so much concerned about CW.
The real culprits were Ralph & Robbo.
Going to town on JDG…keeping it in the media spotlight.
The media pack door stopping our players at training etc.
Now complete double standards.
Neither item considered newsworthy in my opinion.

The real culprit is the over the top legal protection the media has.

They conduct public witch hunts, destroying players careers - or trying to - on little or no evidence.

Yet the corporations that employ them are immune to prosecution.

No, they are not immune to prosecution.

If they break the law, they are as subject to it as anyone/anything else.

Edit: I understand that you are immune to this post, because it is convenient to ignore anything which contradicts you.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Caroline Wilson … wasn’t she one of those that was front and centre in June on DeGoey and the Bali incident? Look at what she’s had to say on Martin in today‘s Age, DeGoey never got the equivalent leave pass. Poor, poor Dusty

Shameful collusion, woman was a friend, woman made no complaint. Sound familiar? Two very different outcomes though because, … reasons.

This is the very thing that infuriates, different treatment due to the individual and/or the club. It’s never going to change though.

Disclaimer: I couldn’t give a toss about Martin and this latest “scandal” in the same way that Bali was also a non-incident, nothing to see here. Just pointing out the double standard.

Knew she'd say something like this. She was giving him excuses for the chopsticks thing s few years ago as well.

If you haven't seen this yet..do yourself a favour

Brilliant. Thoughts below.
  • Henry was huge for us in the first half of the season. Hope he stays.
  • Grundy passionate for the jumper on Anzac day
  • We've debuted a lot of players
  • Our belief and ability to win is incredible
  • What a great ride this season has been so far!

While it makes me throw up a little in my mouth at the mere thought, I agree with her.

To me I think the Martin thing is nothing and should never have been reported on, so I have no problem with her view or any of the other journos who are ignoring it.

The real issue is why did these journos absolutely pile on Jordy in such a disgraceful way? It was disgusting.

I guess it wasn’t helped by our club not supporting him. Even so, the hysteria was ridiculous.

That was a bullshit claim then, just as it is now.

To me it read as her not at all being concerned about the breaches in relation to the non-Martin parties.
She crammed too much into the sentence, which made it confusing, but this was the core sentence: "That she has been collateral damage ... remains one of modern society's more shameful realities."

Feeling robbed. My brother and I also did that with balloons as kids, and have nothing to show for it!

Balloons and balled up socks in the Sampler household. Didn’t help my touch, but I’m an elite kick of a balloon or ball of basketball socks.

Very interesting listening to Nathan Buckley on SEN this morning. Said prior to the 2018 Grand Final, Darcy Moore trained flat out for 40 minutes on the Tuesday, in fact he said he trained the house down.

He posed the question to Match Committee whether they go with Moore and risk him breaking down, or go with Goldy who likewise could break down but was apart of the team we'd won the two matches prior with.

It sounded like he was at peace with the decision they made at the time but as he was saying it to Gerard it's almost like he came to the realisation (or re-opened old wounds) that the decision possibly cost us a premiership.

Much easier said with hindsight though of course, and Moore wasn't nearly as good in 2018 as we've seen since.

Yeah I heard that as well. He said that with Goldsack only having played 2 games back after an acl, we could have been 2 players down so they didn't go with it. We'll never know.

I seem to recall him playing well on Kennedy earlier that year too? We’ll never know. 😢
