Adelaide: Probably right. Poulter would be a low-cost acquisition.
Brisbane: McStay is coming to us.
Geelong: Awww, how cute. Pay us overs, please.
Melbourne: Realistically, where Grundy lands
Richmond: Disappointing about Bobby Hill, get lost with Brad Hill, Fogarty is off to us and we all know Richmond fans float between the different parts of Abbotsford depending on who's winning at the time and aren't very loyal. They keep microwaves at the MCG just so they can fry their membership in Round 9.
St Kilda: Awesome! You can pay overs, too. That sounds like 3x first rounders and 2x steak knives players with Max King as the deal sweetener (no, I'm not being serious).

BREAKING NEWS: ESSENDON TRADE

OUT: Ben Rutten

IN: Ben Rutten

It wasn't long ago that everyone was crying out for state league key defenders, remember schlensog. Frampton is just depth and at 200cm and built like a tank, he fits the bill. Have you seen his SANFL stats
Yep and that’s ok, if we are not paying much for him. Someone on here suggested a trade for Grundy…even at his hefty contract I struggle to see how that is fair.

Haven’t seen his stats

Carlton have signed Curnow for 6 years on top of next year (takes him through to 32yo)............brave move given his history
They've got to be in salary cap trouble and are going to have to give long contracts to reduce the amount per year and also be able to juggle payments around a bit more.

Henry, Poulter, Kelly, McMahon are all 19/22 I hope they all stay.
They are all still sticks at the moment, surely after another preseason they all put on some size and really push for best 22 next year.

Poulter is 194cm and 19, could see him playing both ends as well as midfield. Also could see him playing a Charlie Curnow role (192cm)

Kelly is 194cm just turned 22, I am sure we were unsure about Murphy at first still think he could play important role for us.

McMahon is 198cm and 20, watching him in the VFL he is a real competitor given time could be that SDK/Roughead replacement.

Henry is 189cm and 20, obviously great set of hand which is pretty rare. I think we can all agree he has a high ceiling as a high half forward.

Lots of upside and definitely deserve another few years to develop.

The list management problem says that not all of them can stay unless other senior players are cut or traded.

Poulter and Kelly are most at risk of leaving and Henry is the safest.

A mate of a mate, who knows someone and happens to have a dog, said there was a delivery of gold lined paper boxes recently to a house that may or may not be anywhere near Charlie’s house. Nothing to see here.

Agreed, I would imagine it all depends on what happens with Grundy/DeGoey/Taranto

What a rabble. Surely Rutten wouldn't stay if he has any self respect for himself, after how the Essendoom board tried to shaft him....
I would if I was him. I would have left Monday.

Coaching is an interesting one though, it’s not like being an accountant there’s only 18 jobs, if he walks out there’s a very good chance he never gets another go

Then again, if Essendon had any dignity they’d sack him and pay him out anyway

We've had the duck dinner, now there's a lame duck coach.
You have feel for Rutten - the way he's been treated is appalling.
