If people are trying to tell themselves that Frampton can push Murph out of the 22, I can only lol.

I've been saying to myself smugly for weeks now when he takes an intercept mark, "If Moore doesn't get you, Murphy will."

He's lockety-locked as a HBF - no one is displacing him.

I like Billy at FB and Darcy at CHB, until we grab Ben McKay anyway - but Murph is in no danger whatsoever.

It's funny because Murph and Billy both came together to the high school where I work and Murph was like "I didn't like Billy at first because he's taken my spot in the best 22 - but he's growing on me" and even back then (prior to Round 1) I wanted to yell out "your place in the 22 is in no danger Murph you flog!" but I stayed professional haha - but my opinion has been vindicated 100% - if you have eyes
Yuk. Ben McKay?

Ok so if last week was a final they would have all been out.
Rioili
Yes. Family thing
Dixon
Probably? The man couldnt walk without a limp. Does he have a jab if its a do or do final? Perhaps?
JHF
Maybe ? Half the Port board was screaming it was obvious he needed a break
Mckenzie
Yes
Hayes
Yes
Narkle
Yes

Nice gotchya though

Whilst Im tipping your lot i do giggle at the naive takes of
"They rested there best players for us@!!!"

Rioili with a personal reason
Dixon rolled his ankle in the Suns game, didnt come up and is always the walking wounded at the best of times
Butters played but was a collision sprain on his hip not a groin injury
Mckenzie for Jonas
Jonas was that bad i would be better in the 22, nd Mckenzie has a history of starting an injury looking like he has died to just be a 1 weeker
JHF was getting worse and worse with less and less gametime for a month. Needed a break 2 weeks prior to the carlton game and let alone last week
Jase Burgoyne is a fringe player who hasnt played back to back games all year

Also
Hinkleys full comments Are very complementary to Collingwood, look at past the headline click bait grab
Its clearly him saying
Theyre clearly the best team in the comp - even they admit that (what you dont do unless you're streaks ahead)

My favourite quote from CHinkley

"Zak basically sprained his hip, more than anything. It wasn't an adductor injury, which we thought it may have been after the game," he said.

Lol sprained hip. Give me a spell.
Sprained his hip? Thats an interesting one. Hadn't heard that before lol

On a side note- I am obsessed with your avatar

Thank you for noticing.:)

I get bored with my avatars and like to change them over.

This is a detail of a bigger drawing, prepared by young Pies fans, and posted - somewhere? - by the club last week. I loved it and (ahem) thought I'd 'borrow' it. No prizes for spotting Oleg.

That’s incorrect. Frampton is a much better kick than Murphy and probably Howe as well because he’s prone to the odd shank. I’d say Moore is the only member of our preferred defensive group that has Frampton covered by foot. Frampton also covers the ground better than Murphy.

The problem Frampton has in terms of cracking our defensive group is he’s inconsistent overhead and to often pulls up short of contests he can make. Both Murphy and Howe are see ball get ball in flight and whilst Murphy isn’t great overhead either he’s a spoiler unlike Frampton.

IMO, Frampton’s only shot between now and the end of the year with a clean bill of health is Cox getting owned v Brisbane in Rd 23. There’s a slight window for him to come in and play a forward stopping role in the finals. The reason for the like was because of the overall logic that he’s not part of the preferred mix down back.
I didn't mean tools. Billy's attributes are awesome. I meant better at playing footy. Those two are proactive, excellent game readers, who roll up really well and position to cover space really well and have excellent judgement and timing. Billy is really reactive - a step or two behind them.

No it doesn’t. People are exhausted by this culture of people being offended by things that most people wouldn’t think twice about. Its not the worlds responsibility to walk on eggshells just in case they offend someone, no matter how much the perpetually offended scream about it.
I was talking about a one to one interaction. If someone you're speaking to says they take offence and you take no notice, you're an ass. Simple and I'd have thought non controversial. You don't have to understand someone to respect them.

This is a bit different for more widely broadcast comments because there are going to be competing sensibilities.

And just to reiterate I'm not talking about any comment or behaviour in this thread. I was responding to a Ricky Gervais quote. The sneering attitude of "I can say I want, I'm the sole judge of what's acceptable and anyone who complains is just a whiner", doesn't make you cool, edgy or a free speech advocate, just an ass.

I’ve started seeing this more as a forward and not only is he reactive, but the reactions aren’t quick. If I was being super lenient I might accept that his marking droppoff has rocked his confidence and play less on instinct. The problem is I just don’t think that’s the case.

Keep being deluded.

Yeah he didn’t exactly grab for his hip when he injured himself.

My hatred for Port has gone up 10 fold since Ken opened his mouth. If I wasn't a Gentleman, I'd like to shove a hot pie down his throat
Nah, don't be like that about a good thing. The bigger the rivalrybeyween us, the bigger the revenue when we play. We want teams to play at their best now, we are in the finals & need to know what we face and harden up. If we win we have their measure, lose & know what we need to do. Would have he has fired our mob up a bit too. I'm keen for a hot game, we need that test.

And your mum is your dad.

We don't care.

Have I been asleep and missed someone at the club announcing we're the best team in the comp?

I missed it to, sounds like Kenny H is trying to put words in Bruzzy's mouth. I wouldn't be doing that Kenny, your going to fire up Brayden "Wrecking Ball" Maynard.
I can see Bruzzy laying some big tackles in the opening quarter on Saturday night...

You aren’t aware of the culture wars in the US are you? The worlds changing and that quote from Gervais sums it up really well. IMO, you should start at Bud Light Dylan Mulvaney as a topic to investigate the nuance of what Gervais was getting at.
Not sure what side of this you're on, but my comment was not to suggest we should never give offence or that every offence should be respected. In some cases giving offence is almost a duty.

As mentioned above, I was talking only about a person to person interaction. I was also leaving out outrageous offence (eg. I'm offended by you talking to me in that way because you're a woman). I mainly meant a situation where someone says they take offence and you don't understand it, it wouldn't offend you, eg. "Jesus loves you".

Still stand by that it is within the right of every person to determine what is offensive for them. When engaging in a personal interaction with them that should be respected within reason. You don't get a pass for simply believing that what you said wouldn't be offensive to you or your mates.

Probably still haven't explained this adequately, but hopefully this clears up the sentiment at least.
