If you're going to go on and play a straight bat to any line of questioning that could bring new news, why waste your time. I just felt it came off as a waste of time.

100% spot on Ardent. Going into it there was 3 obvious topics she would be asked about: Clarkson/coaching, Walsh review and Priority picks and she answered none of them and really came off as ‘I know stuff but I’m not telling you’. Not sure if this interview was set up by Sonia or requested by SEN but served no purpose whatsoever. When you’ve got something to say, come out and say it. Our control of the narrative has been woeful for several years now.

take the plaudits though, it is absolutely bang on.

Right now you could justify giving PPs to us and Adelaide before telling the whole comp "After that no more PPs."

We've both been reasonably shit and suffered stuff over the last 5-7 years that have caused us list issues, even if some of it is self inflicted. If we get 11 and/or 19 (could become 20 or 21) for us and 12 and/or 20 (possibly 21 or 22.) Not including father sons. (So in reality with Ashcroft this year its pick 12 not 11 for us.)

That covers everyone who isn't regularly in finals or played finals last year who hasn't already had a PP.

Then you could end the whole thing and its been reasonably fair and equitable.

Bit uncertain as to the purpose of it, considering every single card was played close to the chest, but if I had to guess it was to reinforce the idea we are very serious about The Process with both Walsh's report and Noble's replacement. Also wouldn't hurt to familiarise the footy fans from other clubs with Sonja, who she is, and how she acts.

I emphasise that we shouldn't give certain people/platforms the time of day, but Kingy is a friend and if you're there with him Kane usually acts a lot less like a troll (or at least the half dozen times I've heard him interview on that show that's how he has been). He even went out of his way to offer Sonja the chance to talk about the list comments she made at the sacking. Was a proper softball too, and it wasn't like he personally hadn't already heard her clarify.

That said I'm not particularly fond of her, or any of ours, going on Footy Classified. Hutch is a cancer devouring the football media landscape, Eddie is raving mad about his Tasmania plan (and just generally seems a bit unhinged compared to when he was president of Collingwood still), and Caro is Caro.
