It's definitely good that they have a sit down and relay some surface level info to us, but the "email us your questions!" part is a crock of shit. They already know what they will or will not talk about, and then it's just a case of choosing a handful of questions each to use as a framing device for that info. At the same time, you can surely appreciate that they can't give away their plans or it undermines their negotiating position. They can't say we will leave no stone unturned to secure Luke Parker as that would force us to pay overs. They can't say we have no interest in midfielders this year, or we will prioritise a key forward, or we won't be making bids on father-sons or academy prospects from other clubs, or we won't be selecting any player from South Australia, as that would tell the world that we intend to take Harry Armstrong regardless and they won't feel any need to trade with us to split our pick - we will be forced to draft him at pick 2. Every other club needs to think we might take the player they want and they'd be better off making us an offer that benefits us.

Pretty much. This type of thing much better placed post Draft where they can talk through their methodology, what they were trying to achieve, what went well trade / draft wise, compromises made etc.
