It’s genuinely baffling how he was afforded work in broadcast journalism, but he at least stuck to reporting on the in field aspects of the sport, rather than the absolute ullshit the gets trotted out by the gossip columnist’s we’re subjected to these days.Not sure on the criticism that he receives. He never seemed to go after any team or player in bad faith. He was a bit of a loose unit, whose grip on the English language (at least during interviews/live segments) slipped a bit as the years went on, but he never seemed spiteful, and rarely seemed to try and make a story out of nothing. That's more than I can say for many. many others in his line of work. Journalists who actually value journalism are becoming a rarer breed. Best of luck, and thanks for the service, I say
