Maybe we need to go back to portable rooms and bricks for weights. His forearms are still massive.
Matty Larkin, Germo, Spargo and Rossy Smith were all well built. Johnny Law tooMaybe we need to go back to portable rooms and bricks for weights.
Along with Horse, Duck and Fridge, was a part of the most exciting forward line North (and perhaps the AFL) has ever seen, between the four of them they kicked 254 goals in 21 games, and only Roberts played in all 21.
We didn't win the Premiership in 1993, but it remains my favourite season (outside of the premiership years) because we played the most exhilarating football, it was all out attack all the time. it meant we conceded some high scores, but we also put on some massive totals ourselves. In fact, only once in our first 15 games did we fail to score 100pts and in the first round we allowed the Bears to kick 22 and we still beat them by 4 goals, and that was before McAdam made his debut. It was so much fun being a North supporter back in the 1990's, we had a taste of the exciting times to come in 1990 and 1991, but it really started with the arrival of Pagan and McAdam in 1993.
For all you youngsters, if you ever get a chance, watch the game against Collingwood at Victoria Park (McAdam's finest game), or the West Coast game at the WACA (the arrival of Archer), or the Essendon game at the MCG, I will go to my grave believing the final quarter against the Dons is best football ever played, we made the soon-to-be premiers look inept and out of their depth.
Don't forget Allison,,,,,at one stage all 5 of them were in the top 15 or so of the AFL goal kicking table.Along with Horse, Duck and Fridge, was a part of the most exciting forward line North (and perhaps the AFL) has ever seen, between the four of them they kicked 254 goals in 21 games, and only Roberts played in all 21.

Not in 1993 we didn't, Allison actually had a fairly quiet year in 1993 (compared to the next few) kicking only 21 goals, and six of those were in the final three games. He still finished as our fifth leading goalscorer, but our forward line was dominated by Longmire (75.29 from 20 games), McAdam (68.43 from 17), Carey (64.44 from 19) and Roberts (47.14 from 21).Don't forget Allison,,,,,at one stage all 5 of them were in the top 15 or so of the AFL goal kicking table.
