Speaking for myself, practising breathing techniques was of major help for my anxiety management and in dealing with panic attacks.

Sorry, TPA, but there's no comparison to homeopathy and crystals. There's definite value to them working on breathing techniques. It would especially have value for something as simple (yet vital) as taking a set shot under duress, where you can take a couple of moments to collect yourself.
The homeopathy and crystals was a piss take.

I’m really just railing at the ‘consultant’ stuff that seems to have invaded the club.

Looking at you Paul Roos.

I really wanted Ross in that '96 side 😥 Would have swapped him in for hamstrung Anderson.
Liked his speech when excepting the Reserves Premiership Cup, "This is one, there's one more to come".

Ultimate team man was Ross. And wasn't that game a romp ? 100 + point win.
Yep, and against the Bombers as well. I still have a copy of it on VHS.

Was a pretty good " reserves " side.
Yeah, there were some pretty good names in that game, besides Ross Smith, Trent Nichols was BOG, Brent Harvey, John Barnett and Matthew Armstrong played. And I think Daniltchenko, Reynolds and Plain may have also played

While it's appreciated that you post these vintage posts, it's better served in the right thread.

Doesn't fit this thread.
Theres a perfectly good thread pinned on the main North forum page

Press release from the club.

Straya day/Invasion Day .. The day that divides.

How long do I have to feel guilty for things my immigrant family had zero part in? Is there a point where us wogs get a pass? Or we need to feel guilty for living here? Constantly? This is a white australian issue, take it up with them..

People are on my back here for being negative all the time..

"January 26 isn’t a day for celebration, but an opportunity for everyone to continue to ask questions and learn about Australia’s shared history, the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island People and our culture." -Jy Simpkin

What am I supposed to do? Mourn? I understand what happened, it was heinous and horrible. I cant do anything about that, I aint wallowing in self pity when it had nothing to do with my family.

What I am going to do is throw a few snags on the barby and enjoy my day.

You do realise that you actually did what Jy and Robbie and Mia suggested you do. You reflected on what happened in the past, and you came to the conclusion that it was heinous and horrible. That's great, well done you. That probably makes you "woke" to all those not as compassionate and empathetic as you are. But go enjoy your BBQ; nobody's asking anything else of you.

It’s not about narcissistic campaigners who want to make it about themselves. Shut the **** up.

Seriously?

It means that this day needs to not be the day to celebrate as Australians

It means that we collectively should be using the other 364 days of the year to elect a day that celebrates Australia

And yet here we find ourselves again in the lead up having a debate that sadly will be forgotten about by the end of the week

Recent polling has suggested it’s not really a debate at the moment

Its the boomers who should feel guilty. Recent polls are from young people.

With housing, inflation and various other issues impacting people. They really couldn’t give a flying rats toss bag about the date. Entire social media platforms bombarding you with misery, images of horrible acts.

We didn’t have any part in that.
