I think Himmelberg gets preference over Fogarty next week if the selectors are fair dinkum.
Who do we play next week? Id give them both one more run.

Would be disappointing to waste more AFL games to figure out yet again that Himmelberg isn't good enough

I totally disagree. Murphy and Rowe are lucky to be on the list. McAdam has X Factor but isn't up to it.

My reference to him as a mid was more in relation to people ragging on him because he's not going to be the mid we might’ve hoped he would be.

Overall, I'm basically saying your initial comment was rubbish.
Each to their own, he had a decent pressure game last year at times but I see McHenry in the same way you see McAdam

Happy to be proven wrong with a body of work throughout 2022!

First half pretty good. Lots of pressure and outplayed them. Some real classy plays, but still some issues.

Second half rested. Ran out the clock.Got ran over. Heavy roller applied at half time for Port to do what they do best.....

Not a bad practice match. A shame we didn't roll someone into the Interceptor role once rested Doedee.

We wont play Finals this year. But we should go up a few positions.

Umpiring has just made footy hard to watch!
Jake Kelly has a future in umpiring when he retires if they keep killing momentum in the game.

Yet the bloody AFL demands we pick 22 each week...

I thought we played well all things considered. Especially in the first half before the umpires really went into overdrive with unnecessary decisions.

Rachele will transform our forward line. However we still lack talent down that end. Thilthorpe and him are the only certainties to make it and both are raw. McHenry complements the group really well and can't understand the criticism of him.

Hinge surprised me, was decent. Defence looks settled in personnel and I hope we can find room to play all of Jones, Brown and McPherson. All are good enough but feels like 1 too many smalls. Tall defenders are raw but there's enough to work with in Murray

Need to rotate senior mids forward much more often. How much did Sloane play there? Need to find room to play Pedlar in the middle this season and Schoenberg in there the entire season for the majority of every match.

Typical inconsistent performance for a young, developing team. Lots of good cameos split with some horrible skills and decision making.

Unfortunately, it’s those players who should be helping the youngsters develop who are our Achilles heel. Crouch, Sloane, Smith are a step below similar players in better sides. Crouch in particular is going to frustrate any hope we have of quick ball movement, I just don’t know how we grow and improve with him in the side. Surely Berry is better in that role long term??

We’ll squeeze out one or two more wins than last season, but the improvement will only come once the youngsters have 50-60 games in their legs. Has Nicks got the balls to push them through ahead of Sloane, Crouch and others?
