I think Pooboy must have bought all the new memberships. That would explain why there is no concomittent increase in their attendances. I mean they had 17% increase in membership allegedly and only 12,000 turn up to watch the flag unveiled. Most teams get more fans turn up to their training sessions than North get at games.
When Collingwood played Freo 32,000 turned up. All Collingwood. Against North the same 30,000 turned up. Could hardly spot a North supporter. In fact I saw more people wearing Essendon scarves to this game than North scarves or jumpers.
It is a paradox. They could disappear. But judging from the news on their so called Australia wide membership" they will be disappearing from melbourne as they play in every city except melbourne. How many more memerbships can Pooboy afford to buy? Is he changing his name to "Australia Wide" hence the name "Australia Wide membership"?
