Sure you were

And GeeLOL were going to play finals
I just couldn't look beyond Essendon's terrible performance last night.
But you really want me to vote for Collingwood, don't you? Fine, I'll do it if it's what you really want.

Certainly very worthy but I don’t think you can discount GeeLOL failing to make finals - their only claim to fame - a week early after talking themselves up as contenders and reigning premiers all year

‘Greatest team of all’ :$
It was clear they were cooked when we again rolled them at their cheat ground.

They were dropping like flies and had no pace, so this turn of events is hardly surprising.

Surprising? No, we’ve been predicting it since the start of the season

Embarassing? Oh, very much so :)

Yep, because it will underline that you are a bitter offended flog

Not really, you're just using your reason for voting for Geelong to project.
But you seem confident that I'll vote for Collingwood this week. Confident enough to have a wager on it?

They’re the reigning premiers and missed finals with a week of H&A to go after making excuses all year… if you don’t think that’s embarrassing then you’re on the wrong forum

Whether it’s more or less embarrassing than * entering their 19th year of fail remains to be seen

As for your vote, IDGAF. Vote for whoever you like. I’ll even put a Jeremy Howe nom up if it makes you happy 👍

Was still bigger than Failmantle’s average crowd this season :$
I saw a lot of cats and dogs at the collingwood game - are you sure your crowd numbers aren't from Pet Ticket Sales?

Collingwood likely giving up top spot after being two games clear is pretty worthy. Especially if it means they have to play the Dees week 1.

Maybe they'll win a flag they don't need a 'do over' for for the first time in 60-odd years, eh DanVIC?
I think Essendon have this in the bag. However DanVIC is trying to convince me to vote for Collingwood.

Easy money. Collingwood's lack of midfield is telling. Unlike DeGoey, the team won't keep getting out of jail with close wins :)
Honestly don't think either of the teams are taking the flag this year.

Hrmmm - as a neutral - I think Melbourne have a good shot at it.

Taking away close wins and losses, Collingwood aren't as good as their ladder position suggests, but Melbourne remain pretty steady in the top 2.

They've got a better resolve (and experience) than Brisbane. Port are Port. Carlton might ride a wave of momentum, but they're a bit up and down. The Dogs are either world beaters or locker shitters depending on the day. Swans won't go anywhere. Saints won't get the rub of the green every week and they've copped a few injuries.

Giants can beat anyone on their day, but they can also get belted.

As usual, it's a mixture of luck, momentum and the usual bits and pieces. Everyone's a bit uncertain, but Melbourne's experience and attacking midfield should help. Would be a better chance with Petty still healthy but that's how it goes sometimes.

DanVIC makes a strong case - it's hard to go past the strongest Collingwood team in living memory potentially dropping the minor premiership at home against the "we can't play away from QLD" Lions :$

I just thought he had some kind of sadomasochistic kink.
He does make a good point.

Fritsch due to come back next week or first week of finals.
I don't want to get my hopes up too much. The pessimism comes with being a long time Dees supporter.

I can imagine. Jake Melksham seems to have his moments in the forward line, which isn't something I would expect to have been saying during his time at Essendon :)
