Hawks - i might not like you but damn i respect you. I couldn't help but cheer you boys on today with the fantastic footy you played. It was a great example of what makes AFL such a great sport.

Geelong wasted their opportunities and you took all of yours. Premierships are bloody hard to win no matter what level of football you play.

ps - Stewie Dew - WOW! 12 months ago i saw him in a pub in Adelaide and he was as fat as a house. Today in the 3rd he played like he was bloody Leigh Matthews! An amazing story.

Congrats guys & gals - Great win and I was so happy to see Crawford get that Premiership Medal around his neck a long time coming.

I work with a couple of Hawks supporters and they all put their leave application forms in to take a week off (if the Hawks won) and their plan was to conduct their own Mad Monday starting tonight.

I knew the Hawks were going to win all week long. The last time they played Geelong in Round 17 they fell short and the look on their faces was despair but it was that Round 17 game the turning point of their season. Another thing is that Geelong had only lost 1 game for the whole season and you know the pressure was all on them big time. They had something like 12 rushed behinds. Great performance by you guys today. Luke Hodge = bravest player in the AFL!
