I was very very ill with a ‘flu’ last June..different to anything I have ever experienced and I had received the flu vaccine that year..Was in bed for two weeks..just sayin’

The influenza A strain in South Australia was particularly bad last year, hence one of the 4 strains in this years vaccine was the South Australian Influenza A strain 2019

If the curve for the second wave follows the first wave we will be in Oct/Nov before they can even think about getting numbers close to nothing, I doubt there will be a GF at the 'G" - but maybe the warmer weather will help? Hasn't in the USA but then again they can't help themselves so not the best shining light are they.

A 'social media influencer' just returned from Paris has been arrested attempting to break out of quarantine in Sydney. She was found 150 metres away and claimed she was, 'just going out for a smoke'. She was fined $1000 for leaving quarantine but according to SEVEN Sunrise faces 'more serious charges' for attempting to dismantle the sprinkler system in the hotel room. Obviously wanted a *** without setting off the sprinkler system. Maybe someone had better check the toilets on the aircraft she flew from Paris on?

To me the more serious charge should have been attempting to avoid quarantine. Early in the epidemic a Victorian man in Perth was gaoled for escaping quarantine to visit his fiancee.

PS What does a 'social media influencer' actually do apart from dismantling sprinklers and attempting an escape from quarantine?

Send her to a concentration camp for indefinite detention. Isn't that what we do with people who break the rules entering this country? Or only if they're brown?

Sounds like she is a total knob. To this day I do not get social media influencers and individuals like Kim Kardashian, oxygen robbers IMO.

Actually this episode will probably build up her standing in the social media world. She will add notoriety to her persona and the Instagram junkies will lap it up.

Infections have spread across the NSW-Victoria border and a tenth public housing tower has been exposed in Melbourne after a record spike in cases yesterday.

Meanwhile, Albury-Wodonga, a town that sits on the NSW-Victoria border, has recorded three new cases of COVID-19. The infections came within hours of state and federal governments announcing plans to close the border.

I have a husband home suffering day 2 of what I suspect is man flu. I have booked him In to have a COVID swab this morning, just to make sure it isn’t COVID.
I had a covid test a week ago due go some respiratory symptoms. It took 2 days to get results but they were clear of course. Went to the RAH site. Very efficient and apart from a slight stinging at back of nose wasn’t bad at all.

Hope it goes well for both of you. If your husband is tested you should be to.

I am not unwell. Being immunocompromised I have kept him away from me and the kids since he started to appear sick. I am staying at home until he has the all clear regardless.

I have booked him in to one of the respiratory clinics that is close to where we live. It is a clinic similar to the one I have been working in, so he will get tested and a medical certificate for work.

This virus is so highly contagious and it highly likely that cases along the border will grow quickly.

So much this. The $1000 fine will be more than covered by her next paid post, and her "influence" will only increase. Just seeing the shorts for programs like Big Brother and Bachelor make it clear the "value" system she and her ilk subscribe to.

The fact that some Australians care so little about others they are happy to expose them to sickness and possibly death makes me very sad. This is anti-social behaviour of the worst kind.

Honestly this should fill us with confidence.

We beat this campaigner before. We'll beat it again.

Non citizens trying to enter the country illegally are sent to indefinite detention.

Citizens entering the country legally and then breaking other laws are sent to jail.

Or is he just feeling ill after finding out a Crows player propositioned you? ;)
