I was thinking about this last night. Normally, I would be all for solidarity with other states. We are (supposed to be) one Australia after all. But for a long time, the LNP and the Murdochs have driven a wedge in society between "us" and "them". Now I can't help to feel like NSW are "them" and they can get f’ed. I hate the LNP and the Murdoch cnts for making me feel this way.
So true we need a election right now to unite our country before we be come a American capitalist shit show.

How many cases required for it to be dubbed a super spreader event? Seems just like a normal spreader event to me at this stage.
Would have been if Marshall followed the liberal way.

This is exactly why lockdowns, border closures and other restrictions will not end in Australia for a very long time, if ever. The vaccine is great for reducing hospitalisations and deaths in countries ravaged by the virus, but for Australia getting vaccinated and opening up will only result in thousands of hospitalisations and deaths that we are currently shielded from.

You think an election is going to be the way to "unite" Australia? Australia is no where near as divided as the USA, but no one can say with a straight face that Biden being in charge has all of a sudden brought about unity in that country.

I liked Premier Marshall’s comment this morning.
Act hard and fast.

That would be an exact quote from what the Victorian Premier has been saying for about 12 months now and is STILL saying in relation the the Delta strain.

What would be great would be if Marshall had the cajonas to tell the PM:

'Actually ScoMo, it IS a race, you do your job mate and I'll do mine' ,about 6 months ago.

P.S. Of the 37 currently in ICU in NSW, 36 had no jabs. The other had just one.

NSW seeking extra Vaccine from other States is a massive smokescreen to divert attention from their recent incompetence. A real low in Oz politics in my view and I am conservative leaning. So disappointing. Still no hard lockdown, no mandatory masks, just unbelievable. Swallow your pride and do the right thing FFS. May be too late now and I am genuinely worried how this is going to play out.

We can't open up whilst we're so completely obsessed with case numbers, no matter how small. I'm not seeing how we go from an elimination strategy to opening up and accepting cases.

From the outset I knew this virus carried an extreme risk of contagion - it started with the great unwashed loading their trolleys with toilet paper and canned goods, spread through any number of imbecile commentators, and has now infected mean and narrow political leaders intent on hoarding vaccines in their little fiefdoms

Still no hard lockdown, no mandatory masks, just unbelievable.

This is what happens when you start drinking your own bathwater, still living on the reflected glory of glowing media support and the PM telling the rest of the country, backed by the media, that you are the GOLD STANDARD.

Interesting how the media have dumped Gladys like a pariah now the worm has turned.
