It was a joke because he dared suggest that Covid-19 data was skewed on two counts. I'm sorry if that didn't come through. People seem to take very seriously any 'contrarian' posts I make.

I'm flattered that you have made an analysis of my posting style. How was it contrarian? Because I asked the question could Covid-19 statistics might be skewed because comorbidity data has not been factored into most hospitalisation and morbidity rates? They may not make a huge difference but it does make a difference. I've posted that most future projections are based on the assumption that we will treat the virus with no greater efficacy than we have in the first 3 months that we learned of its existence. I bash Trump for being an ineffectual leader in a time of crisis, who has possibly done more with his cronies to damage efforts to fight the virus than to help. You really call those contrarian???

I don't attack anyone that challenges me. I attack those who attack and ridicule those who may have a different, valid but non populist view to make and are brave enough to express it. Those who misrepresent and misquote those same people labelling them with views they never had. Because it shits me. However I'd like to think in most cases what I post is moderate, respectful and generally backed up by some sort of source or fact. If I don't jump on a particular posting bandwagon because I don't agree, tough. I hope that answers your question to the extent that I feel the need to explain my posting style to anyone.

I think they need to split out out the stats when they can of From and With.

So we know now the US has confirmed anyone who dies of anything but has even a sniff of Corona is now a victim but it would be helpful to split out the died from and died with. There's been other US commentators now noticing a drop in other deaths which would be because of this coding change. I don't mind it if it's to make sure they capture all COVID data so they can analyse afterwards common preconditions etc but just make the data clear, available publicly and explain it. Whether it's here and there and everywhere for the public.

I did, he states something we did on here last night and got labelled as 'just the flu' people, how ironic.

It will be harder for a Labor government to attack these initiatives than vice versa. A taxing the rich/business in a climate of double digit unemployment whilst also cutting services is not something Labor can run with. Labor will find it hugely difficult to win the next election. Libs will win the next election, then embark on a large cost cutting of all the essential services and privatise whatever we've got left to privatise. They'll go too far in many people's eyes and then Labor will win the election after that.

Freydenberg has already said the Coalition will not be touching the GST so there are not many other ways they can recover 320 billion and you have hit two of them on the head. They will slash services and selloff assets.

Also, it was apt as the graph resembled quite accurately one of the biggest scientific frauds of the last century, I just figured maybe he'd borrowed his algorithm. You can be a climate believer/denier/agnostic but you're a complete moron if you still believe that graph and scientist has any place in the conversation anymore. In a non politicised scientific field he'd have nuked his own career for good with that and anyone associated with it.

The key conclusion that the planet is warmer now than it has been on the past 1000 years has been proven 100% correct.
