There was a bit of confected outrage over those comments.

He came across as more than a bit entitled, oh woe is me I'm missing out on a heap of gigs. Oh and it's bad for the dead people too.

But it's not as if anybody questions the outbreak started in China - wet markets or earlier in the wild.

We can start with opening up to WA and NT (and NZ!). Shouldn't have to be all borders at once.

Fair enough, but it's not as if you can't come to an arrangement to FIFO the non-SA clubs under strict conditions, actually restricting players to their hotels unlike the crows, direct transport to and from the oval.

Otherwise, Marshall and Teflon Nicola come across as only interested in racking up an endless string of 0s rather than returning normalcy to our lives.

I don't mind them being cautious but there should be some middle ground.

Still it is only a 7 News report based on an email they claim to have seen. It doesn't mean the 14 day period is indefinitely locked in.

China does. There's actually a conspiracy theory that a US soldier brought it into China.

I heard there's a conspiracy theory that it escaped from a biosecurity lab in Wuhan too. Best not to go there though ;).

Social media, it's a wild and wacky frontier.

Fiacchi pushing the angle that we need to be a traditional team again and can't just be a reserves side where this was allowed to happen, the Magpies are the heart and soul of the club etc etc.

It's not hard to see why there's still a disconnect amongst our supporter base.

It's lucky that South Australia is such a self-sufficient economic powerhouse that we can afford to keep our borders closed to the rest of Australia.

Consistency would be good - SA should refuse its (disproportionate) share of federal revenue while its borders are closed - if it wants to stand alone all good, but no need to leech off the other states while it does so

Silly me I thought we joined the AFL

It's almost like medicine, including vaccines stops people dying earlier. Gee, at 46 if only I'd reached my age bit over 100 years ago, I'd have passed life expectancy. These days I've got to wait under 35 or so years. Pfft.

So what happened to One Club George?

I know where he is coming from though.

This season won't be worth a cup of cold sick. No home games for the Power, no Magpies in the SANFL, no chance to go to a game and no start until June.

Not much to enthuse about.

End of the day we really wanted to leave the small pond and join the big boys of the AFL remember. Yes we have outstanding history in the sanfl but it’s just that.

Now this starts the wheels in motion of what I’ve been saying a AFL reserves competition happening.

So what is George's point ?

Does George want something that ain't going to happen? A tradional Port Magpies outfit with SANFL zoned area, under age sides etc. Giving them up was the price of One Club which George had a leading hand in bringing to fruition.

In any case this isn't the SANFL saying, 'on ya bike' it is the AFL. It would not matter how the Club was set up we would not be fielding a reserves side in the SANFL or if we did it would not have any AFL players in it.

Please enlighten me.

Why did they feel the need to point out that the reporter was "Asian-American?"

Because she made the point herself. She started by asking Trump, why he keeps saying that America is doing more testing than any one else in the world, why is it a competition to him when Americans are dying. Trump deflects criticism with, 'why don't you ask China that question'? The reporter then basically asks Trump why he is saying that specifically to her and ignores her other questions before storming off.

In defence of Trump it is such a consistent tactic for him to blame someone else for his own shortcomings that he probably would have responded with the same line regardless as to who asked the question.

Basically my first post is exactly what he said. I can't tell you what his inner thoughts are but to George, not having the Magpies play this year is akin to the club losing it's identity.

and as I posted it is the price we pay for the One Club merger. We can't have it both ways, we cannot have One Club with a stand alone traditional SANFL club as well as an AFL club. We have to accept that our identity is now as an AFL club.

Don't get me wrong I agreed with One Club and I supported Timmy and George but from what George has said I think he may want it both ways. Then again maybe I am missing the true meaning in what George has said.

Where do our non selected players go now?

Send them out to ammo club's? Surely some games are better than none
