Syphilis epidemic in Melbourne suburbs: scientists use genomic sequencing to track STD
Melbourne scientists will use genomic sequencing for the first time to track fast spreading syphilis outbreaks running rampant in the city’s outer western suburbs, as doctors warn immediate intervention is needed to contain an evolving epidemic of the sexually transmitted disease.www.theage.com.au
Being heavily reported so surprised but here is the basic jist of it.
I do need a new one for summer. Might drive out to Epping now but is it Woolworths Epping or Epping North i need to visit, screw it i'll just go into both to make sure. You'd definitely ensure you went BBQ shopping if you did.

Well there you go, a good reminder for people tomaskwrap up
It can't measure infection or progress of a virus. What it does measure depends on the replication cycles that are used. Above 36 or 37 will show anything including virus fragments from recovery.
It's been the hardest part to take for me. People are just so submissive and narrow minded. They literally don't understand how serious it is that they can now be confined to their home by an unelected bureaucrat on a whim. Lockdown, in my opinion can never, ever be justified. But if they were, it would have to be the nuclear, no other alternative option. I cannot believe that 15 months into a fairly mild pandemic, we are still at this point, and the mindless majority just kind of...accept it. And I work with these people. They are intelligent, normal people, but can't see past their own lives. I have talked to people today that are hoping for a lockdown. I get it, working from home is easy, but how can you be so callous as to hope for something that causes so much grief and pain to others? I've been trying to wrap my head around this since it began, and my only conclusion is most people just really want to be told what to do. I feel like i've been living under a boot for a year that can stomp down at anytime, the fun has sort of disappeared from regular things, and like others I cannot see anyway that this will change in the foreseeable future, if ever. It's amazing reading the other covid boards on here and on social media that people calling for lockdowns is so casual as if it's all part of life now, some even cheerleading for it. What have we become? We should all be angry this has happened again and it's leading to another lockdown and should be holding the government accountable yet I've heard nothing from the media only the usual fearmongering or anything from the opposition leaders. Instead people are calling for snap lockdowns so the government can save them again!
Horrible, horrible humanity is to far gone no turning back!
They've still got your contact details though, haven't they? Even if you sit elsewhere you'll be treated as if you sat next to Mr Superspreader if that's where your seat was.My group have not once this year sat in our issued ticketed seats, we have sat elsewhere via a well thought out....................nevermind forget i even said anything.

See that's why they need to check who actually scanned in, just because you got the ticket of the net doesn't mean that ticket scanned inThey've still got your contact details though, haven't they? That's if you go to Melbourne Catfish Alley . Come to Queensland where we're all freeeeeeee! From memory you've said you'd like to come back? Christ knows why
These people are the majority here. Scared of everything, devoid of logic or reason, and cheer on political parties like footy teams. We're a dumber version of the US minus the guns at present
I feel like geographical isolation might have something to do with it. Australia seems happy to use its natural barriers after being scared to death by Murdoch media about Europe or the US.
If there is some full-on apocalyptic scenario Australia is the place to be.
Bunnings have nice barbequesDon't forget to stop at a few bars and nightclubs on the way too.
Progress? We've gone backward!I feel the same. Just stopped off at he supermarket, everyone masked up. We are not making any progress at all.
1984 is turning in to reality, A book that scared the shit out of me when I first read it thinking how can a society like that work wouldn’t the people rise up and not take it. Haha I think I found my answer NO. This has been infesting in our society through our institutions for years slowly under our own noses without even realising now that we all live under the whip of big brother it’s turned from ideology to normal. The majority of people want the elite and powerful to assure them that everything will be OK as long as you follow. It's been the hardest part to take for me. I am serious. We've had one 3-day lockdown, in Brisbane city only, this year, plus 14 days of mask-wearing statewide.I haven’t read much about Queensland so not sure if this is serious. Haha. My parents are on the VIC/NSW border. Sydney any better? I think I’m happy where I am to be honest.

Victoria is the worst because they've had the most cases since the initial wave last year. I think Mark McGowan is handling this the worst of anyone by far. We locked down over ZERO local cases on Anzac weekend, imagine what FIVE cases would cause?I am serious. NSW would be ok, but all the states have nervous nellies for premiers with their fingers hovering over the panic button. Victoria is just the worst for some reason.
