I am passionate about exposing the parasites of society for what they are.
Millions don't bother with the flu shot each year, I'm sure you've never worried.

Brainwashed beyond help. Turn off the TV, you're going to harm yourself

Spare me the "It isn't the flu". We know, it's a BEAST!!

Quoting tin-foil hat wearing whackjobs now?

yep so you clearly didn’t read it..bc it takes quite a bit of time and understanding.

Your posts and pretty insults just reflect a scared little person. I feel a bit sorry for you.

Turn off the tv perhaps and get outside without a mask and live a little.

Ahh yes, that old chestnut.

This isn't the flu you silly little person.

Thanks anti-vaxxer. Your opinion means a lot.:D

It took a 10 second look at the guy's Twitter feed to work out what he is about. I like to have an idea of who the author so I can make a decision on the veracity of any claims they make. It was a pretty simple job to eliminate this nutter.

At an entirely personal level i dont really care, if im not comitting a crime then i have nothing to worry about and if i did then thats on me BUT it is pretty cooked that they are using it this way, if nothing else its absolutely going to encourage people not to check in.

what else are they sussing out? my pornhub searches? hope not.

yeah this is pretty bad. i remember all the conspiracy theorists copping serious flak for not wanting to download the vic version of the app.

Me, April 26 2020:
"Having said that:
Do I think the app is a good idea? Yes.
Do I think it has adequate safeguards according to the published specs? Yes.
Would I consider using it in the normal scheme of things? Yes.
Do I think it will be subject to scope creep and in the event of not enough takeup become compulsory? Yes.

Do I trust the government not to use the data for other purposes, or allow its US partner to? No.
Do I trust the government not to share the data with its own clandestine agencies? No.
Do I think it will be terminated and all data destroyed at the end of the coronavirus emergency? No.

So it's a big fu** off from me."

Just call me Nostradamus.

Note we were discussing the feds' CovidSafe app. I've used the Vic app a couple of times recently when I've been asked to. When its worked.

If you've got nothing to hide you've got nothing to fear.

Until you're one of three people who bothered to check in to a bar at the same time and the other two are crims being watched by the police. What were you talking to them about? What's your relationship to them? Why did you meet there? What are we going to find in your car and at your house? You say there were 15 other people in the bar? Check-in is compulsory, only the three of you were there. Stop lying.

Is that bullshit?

The issue to me is the association tracking, which is the primary purpose of that application.

It will be really easy to find probable cause to search your house for anything at all to validate a warrant when you have been near someone who has a criminal history you don't know about.

Aside from Taylor's penchant for using American law terms, the point is clear.

Nail on the head. Thirty years ago a fellow member of a computer club disappeared. (Turns out he was in jail. We'd been to each others places a couple of times working on PCs and pirating games.) Next I'm being pushed against a wall by a cop friend demanding to know why my name came up as a "known associate of a convicted paedophile." First I'd heard of it. They'd done some paper associate-tracking.

Soooo much easier for them today. I don't think being cynical and skeptical of our Canberra overlords makes me a conspiracy theorist.

I hope you've never left the house without vaccines Keeper. Would make you quite the hypocrite

How so?

As soon as they became available I signed up, that's as much as I can do.

I certainly didn't look for excuses not to get vaccinated. I didn't rely on psuedo-science and conspiracy theories in order to make a half-arsed, self-serving decision. I trusted the science and did the right thing.

Yeh again, not defending it.

A lot of people you’re arguing against aren’t anti-vaxxer, (it’s an easy label for you to use) they’re just very sceptical about the Covid vax, its long term effects (the absolute risk reduction is tiny) and the coercion worldwide to take it.

Ok, I'll debate those points in good faith.

Scepticism of the vaccine is ill-founded. There has never been a vaccine in the history of mankind that has had as much resource thrown at it. People are clinging onto any right wing conspiracy theory in order to justify their selfish decisions. Not sure if you are a football fan but these pigs are using the Christian Eriksen heart attack on the weekend and linking it to him having had a Covid vaccination some 12 days earlier. Without evidence of cause and effect. This is just the sort of stuff that ignorant people cling to. Why trust almost all of the world's leading epidemiologists when you can quote some goose on Twitter as a counterpoint?

The coercion argument is a smokescreen, relating to the above and nothing more. My position remains that deliberately avoiding the Covid vaccine is about as selfish as a human being can be right now (look at how we are living). And I make no apology for targeting such people.

Australians seem to be questioning health recommendations more than most of the western world when it comes to vaccines.

But then again, happy to lockdown sporadically, wear masks outside, get kids out of school etc. It’s difficult to understand from overseas.

Well from a personal perspective, when you get locked down all the time you have plenty of time to ask questions.

But on the other hand, the two descriptions you've provided do not always present in the same groups of people either.

I've been doing morning runs and Albert Park was genuinely frosty the other morning. I don't hate it but geez I miss the gym and having access to the equipment.

The stop-sooking-anti-gym brigade around here are weird, they probably haven't caught on to how advanced and beneficial gyms are in this day and age. Not having access to one last year absolutely cooked my knee rehab which I'm still catching up on.

Anyways, let's hope they open up this week.

This x 1000%

Lockdown forces me to get back into running more regularly, which I genuinely enjoy.

But actually being able to utilise a gym most days a week increases my physical and mental health tenfold.

Anyone that says you don't need a gym genuinely has NFI.

It doesn't make you anti-vax if this is the only vaccine you've never had or want. The undeniable fact is at an individual most do not need it. The risk doesn't warrant it. Really they should be treating symptoms, given so few of us are at any real risk...

The worlds leading epidemiologists have been wrong a shitload. Enough it warrants questioning. They're still "covid cleaning" shit even though we don't get it off surfaces, if we did everyone on the planet would have had it 30x by now. Think logically here

"selfish decision" is also laughably dumb. You want people to get it just to ease your fears. They don't care if you get vaccinated, so who's the selfish one here?

"look at how we are living" - that is your governments' fault, not the virus. The virus doesn't shut cities down, people do. Hystrerical people unable to assess risk and who refuse to improve or change plans after 16 months do in fact

Americans are the frontrunners, but apparently we're going for a Bradbury.

The lack of any consequences from COVID has given people a certain level of arrogance, a belief it is practically harmless, that allows any risk from the vaccine to be exaggerated even if it is no more than other vaccines they take regularly. That, and the internet giving some people an over-inflated sense of their own intelligence.

People have gone mad here. Trains are empty because people are freaked out, people are sanitising groceries, people are still panic buying. Etc etc

If youre talking about Melbourne the trains are empty because were not allowed to go 25km from home and most workplaces are back to working from home.

I think at this point Melburnians are less concerned about the virus than they are the lockdown (most of us anyway).
