For anyone who is still looking to book a Vax appointment, you can use this site to find appointments

What is this?

Covid Queue presents available vaccines booking across Melbourne and regional areas in real-time. A bell will "ding" when a new booking becomes available in your selected clinics. You should log in to the Victorian Government Portal site ahead of time, so you will be ready to book when an appointment becomes available.

Elwood beach packed yesterday regardless of being on lockdown yet still increasing restrictions,

its obvious this has moved from a policy issue to a policing issue. the patience and trust of the public is lost, no amount of posturing will restore it, concentrate on the rollout .

agree; the acknowledgement we can't get to zero changed the collective psyche overnight. I've just made an appointment to get my second AZ three weeks early

If you want a huge distraction get onto Netflix and “911 The turning point”

Basically covers the day, and the events and reasons of the past 20 years there and in Iraq and Afghanistan with survivors, politicians, soldiers, politicians and opponents.

Missed not have GWB which robs some perspective, but certainly engaging

Is that the Spike Lee one that HBO cut out all the stuff from people skeptic about how it happened? I was looking forward to watching it till I read they did that. Would’ve been more interesting.

I haven’t watched the documentary on the QAnon yet but that’s supposed to be good.

But it’s only the North-West breaking the rules 🙄

Why did my perfectly reasonable response to TAO’s elephant in the room racist dog whistle get deleted whilst his post stays up? Can someone explain that to me please? Was pointing out flaws in his discussion, I might have got personal in some other posts so fine scrub them but that one i was literally refuting bullshit and putting forth a reasonable argument. Wtf??

Anybody know where to report adverse events after vaccination? Nothing major (I think) but certainly something odd occurred with me. There's been no follow up from the clinic where I got vaccinated.

I went to one of the hubs and received text messages from COVAXVIC asking for feedback on any symptoms/reactions etc after Day 3, Day 8 and after 6 weeks.

Yeah mate, thanks for asking. I would've gone straight to the doctor/hospital if it were something seriously concerning. Don't want to clog the system at the moment for something that they should be aware of but is more uncomfortable than anything too concerning 💪

Amazing to me that on a 25 degree day every single beach wasn’t crawling with police to enforce the laws. Unfortunately that’s been the story of lockdown 6: all posturing from Andrews, no enforcement of existing rules, and when things turn to crap, just put some more rules on without even trying to enforce the existing ones.
sadly this type of thinking is commonplace with a lot of policy making, same as speed restrictions, we used to hae a place up loch sport which has a rising retiree population, constant whinging about people exceeding the town 60km limit, the view among them is to reduce the speed limit to 40. how this stops people who dont care for the current limit is still lost on me.

The Great Man comes through again. Thank you.

When my cousin had a reaction to AZ she went to the doctor and they sent her to the Austin. She had the clotting but because she was in hospital they got it under control pretty quickly. She had to stay overnight to be safe.

This really upsets me. My wife is vision impaired so generally she doesn't go anywhere unless I take her. Shopping is a weekly thing where we get out and say g'day to the traders we have got to know. I can't take her now because it is one person for two hours. We try and do the right thing. So she is effectively housebound. Can't see our kids either. So I go to the shopping centre and there are plenty of couples wandering through the supermarket and other food stores, especially younger couples. Plenty. So why do I bother? I know plenty of others are doing it tougher and people who are ill. We are both now double vaxed. I see the beach last night and think why do I bother.
you prolly bother because you work for a wage and fines and penalties will adversely affect you and your wives quality of life, on the other hand if you dont work, dont have any money fines dont wrk to police you because you just cry poor and you will get the fine either waived or a dollar a week.

There is an occasional upside

But my point is about doing the right thing. I know in perspective my situation is no big deal. But to my wife it takes away a little bit of her movement.
Yea I wouldn't minimise it, it's pretty bad and unfair for your wife.
Especially considering, so many blatantly not complying, and you'd be forgiven for not, for the sake of your wife.

Bonus points for mentioning Loch Sport.

I miss the shitty Black and Gold generic everything at the local store.

its a rule thats odd anyway, a single person attending the supermarket with the person they live with , if either were to get the covid the other would anyway once they get home. i suppose its about lessening the density of the people in the shop?

If you trust Bill Gates, who in a Ted talk recently said that we can control the population level using vaccines, then you realize he's the the 2nd biggest private donor to the WHO (funding 10% of their annual budget), an NGO who is heavily promoting the vaccines, then I'd say, don't go for a job as a detective or a spy.

Should I also mention, he profits heavily from vaccines?

I'll just sit here and wait to be called a wacko conspiracy theorist by people who only consume the news the mainstream media want you to.
