I love that bit in WWZ when Pit asks the CIA guy how North Korea avoided the zombie plague. He says easy they pulled the teeth of 25 million people in 24hr, no teeth, no bites, no zombies!

First step would be to remove the government from the equation and put the army in charge, under the direction of the virologist experts who have experience in dealing with such pandemics.

This bloke would be a good candidate.

While I find your contributions interesting and generally correct, I also find that if I'm getting jack of posting the same thing on here I realise that this forum isn't worth people's mental health.

To stop it you are 100% relying on people!!!!!!!
People to do the right thing.
That is never going to happen, Especially when we are talking about tens of millions of people.
Stopping it is not going to happen.

I agree we won’t try to stop it.

I won’t agree that it could not be stopped.

I actually believe most ordinary people would the right thing.

If everything was shut done, with the army in charge, along with a the various police forces, most people would feel they’re all in the same boat.

It is the people who have the most to lose economically, mostly leaders of big businesses, who would likely have to be dragged along kicking and screaming.

All public and private debts suspended, all rent suspended.

Government to foot the power, water and food bill.

We wouldn’t have to shut the whole country down. But movement within cities would be limited to transportation of goods under army supervision.

Rural communities could keep working.

We could still maintain international trade for needed goods.

There would just be tighter controls at airports and docks, etc.

One thing that will need to be looked at is pensions, this is going to obliterate many casual jobs in sectors like tourism and hospitality, on top of a more generalised blow to business and consumer confidence. People will need to be able to pay rent, utilities,eat etc until this all blows over. Got to remember we are still sitting on the mother of all real estate bubbles and those of us who lived through the late 80's early 90's know what happens when the jobs disappear.

It is a very short advise article. So i assume what is mentioned is very important.
It was the mention of "thoroughly cooking meat and eggs" that caught my eye.
I don't think i have heard any one pushing this to the extent it may deserve.
I am certain people still have their meat rare/medium rare and eggs soft.

Coronavirus

Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV).
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a new strain that was discovered in 2019 and has not been previously identified in humans.
Coronaviruses are zoonotic, meaning they are transmitted between animals and people. Detailed investigations found that SARS-CoV was transmitted from civet cats to humans and MERS-CoV from dromedary camels to humans. Several known coronaviruses are circulating in animals that have not yet infected humans.
Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.
Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, thoroughly cooking meat and eggs. Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.

I am just sharing some articles published by the WHO and scientific journal around the tracing back of the origin through the civet cats and camels to bats. In a similar way to how the hendra virus got to people from the flying foxes through the horses.

The SARS one says that the cause could perhaps be bats, which is supported by a scientific study which states that COVID is so similar to SARS and that they share traits that are isolated to coronaviruses found only in bats, which is why they consider that bats are probably the origin. Similarly for MERS they believe it was transmitted to the camels at some point in the distant past, again presumably because they share traits isolated to the bats.

Just sharing Im not trying to labour a point, I really feel for everyone who is going to be impacted by this, my tone yesterday was definitely in anger but this is just to share info.
