Trent Cotchin tonight won his first Jack Dyer Medal, coinciding with his first injury-free season. Leaderboard:

236 Cotchin (21yo)
203 Deledio (24)
198 Martin (20)
181 Houli (23)
161 Vickery (21)
159 Rance (21)
159 Nahas (23)
150 Foley (26)
149 Riewoldt (22)
137 Grigg (23)

Reckon the youth of the top ten bodes well for Richmond's future.

houli a bit high. Thought deledio had a better year. Cotchin still had a ripper.

richmonds bnf seems very similar to sydney where its more of a boost to the younger kids rather then the best player.

Not generally. Average age of Richmond top 10 at their last game of the season:

2011 22.85
2010 24.08
2009 24.52
2008 27.16
2007 25.67
2006 25.86
2005 27.23
2004 24.23
2003 25.65
2002 25.21
2001 26.33
2000 26.00

Good win, just a taste of things to come from Cotch you'd think. Nahas and Houli polled surprisingly well for two blokes who get cut down by the Tiger faithful pretty regularly.

The Riewoldt result goes to show Tiger supporters had no right to be whinging about him missing out on AA selection.

my point was i personally thought dids had a better year. Was more consistent i thought. Dont get me wrong cotchin had an awesome year which i think everyone knew he was capable of and if and when he got his body right, it would come. He did however have more then a handful of down games though.

big fan of this guy, well deserved.

hope richmond can string together some good form next year, some of the best fans in the game bloody deserve something to crow about.

houli a bit high.

Houli deserved his fourth place. I had him in my top 5.

He has some top quality AFL traits and he has developed under Hardwick into a very valuable player. His hardness improved every week, by the end of the season we were seeing him flying into packs to retrieve the ball and laying some great tackles. He has been an amazing pick up.

To Trent Cotchin, you my friend are a bonafide star. Best player to walk through our doors in 30 years, next captain and a genuine nice guy.

Congratulations, you STAR!

Wtf? Never heard any of that.

No surprises with Houli or Nahas, the top 7 is pretty much spot on. Newman missed half a dozen games through injury and would have finished higher, likewise with Grimes.

As for Jack, he was never in contention for AA but it has been confirmed he was carrying 4 injuries this year, each one needing surgery.

Ty Vickery would be pretty happy to get a medal. Great season from him. Top 7 was about right I had Nahas 5th and Vickery 6th though.

Outstanding last half of the year from Houli!

Houli and Grigg both top ten? Decent pickups!

Houli started a little slowly. Silky disposal but didn't like the hard contests. Is clearly working on his efforts in contested situations and has won over most of the supporters as he was one of the few to stand up in some terrible losses.

Grigg pretty much the opposite, came out running but form tapered and is starting to attract his share of critics. The loft on his left foot 9-iron seems to be increasing...

Can you name a older player at richmond who should be in the top 10 ?

Newman
Tuck
Miller
Moore

Are our only older players
