Was watching with the television on mute with slightly delayed radio audio.

Watching the ball come in and then Milne just giving up on the chase I thought initially a free kick was paid against him for whatever reason, however no free was signalled and the score stood. My initial impression was he could have reached it and run into an open goal, although I haven't seen a replay to confirm.

Could he have run it down?

I reckon he may have done a Malcom Blight.

Left the ball thinking that it was trickling into the goals, not the points.

I think everyone would love to see some replays of that. My initial reaction was that he was hoping it would bounce up for him. Maybe he was smart enough to realise what the poster above said, that if he'd taken the ball and been tackled, the Saints would have lost by a point.

to me it looked like, he realised the ball was heading towards a behind and the only way he could reach it was if he dived for the ball, and there was really no point diving for it, when he was unsure as to how long was left on the clock and it was that close to being a behind anyway.

in my head i was just thinking, what's worse than Collingwood winning the GF, is Milne kicking the winning goal in a GF, so i'm glad he couldn't get to it in time.

i'd have trapped it, ran to the boundary line ronnie burns style and kicked it over my head and dobbed it from 55.
