AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Is that you Nathan Burke? Guess you always knew your junk was never going on display.I will do a nuddy run if you are correct but I fear it will be the other way around, and badly.
If Fyfe is best on ground in 9 games he wins about 95% of brownlows. I think Sammy will need to poll 30+ votes to win.Sammy deserves it. He's been super all year. He'll be voteless up to round 5 but could potentially score in almost every game from then on.
Hodge will get plenty of votes too. The big thing is there's no-one else to steal votes. Shiels won't get noticed. Lewis has plenty of the ball but no impact. Izzy only plays well when we lose for some reason (have a look..... 5 of his top 7 possession games for the season were losses).
Priddis has more guys to steal votes off him this year (NicNat, Masten, Gaff, McLovin, JJK) whereas last year he was a one-man show. To counter that somewhat, they have won more games. I still think he won't quite get up but he'll be right there.
Fyfe started with a bang but won't poll after round 13. Not even Gaz could win the Brownlow with 14 immense games, although Freo have won more games. I think he'll be in front for a long way but won't win.
Goldy deserves to win it this year, but rucks just don't poll well enough I suspect.
Danger is an umpire favourite and another without many teammates who'll steal votes. He's the one I'd back along with Sammy.
The rest seem unlikely, although I'm not completely discounting Swan and Hannebery.
thats one way of looking at itI reckon he's about 5 votes behind Fyfe right now.
Maybe that's what happened last Friday, the whole team was just making sure they didn't take any votes off Sammy by playing like absolute shite.
For realz.,, don't say that was just about to put $50 on him at 11-1Mitch didn't fly over so there's 1 less game to potentially poll in...
