The Club is hoping Ben will take his father's advice and -

There obviously a problem with drugs but Ben's confident he will pass the recent drug test -

Worsfold said he was "very, very confident the drug test (that Cousins) had on Monday would not be a positive. And … (Cousins) is very confident there will be no positive with that test."

The only conclusion I can draw from this is that the 24 players that did test positive where either very unlucky or very stupid.

Or Benny has access to better medical advice.

He avoided training and coincidently a drug test - then tests and they are "very, very confident" the result will be negative. But we are told at the same time he has a drug problem.

How in God's name could you be "very, very confident" a person with a drug problem would pass any test let alone this one after missing training?

Something is rotten in Denmark and it's the Eagles and not Ben Cousins that needs to be investigated. I am staggered the AFL haven't launched an investigation into this.

Let's draw all the cards up in dot points:

- Suspiciously avoids training day of test
- Tests later and very, very confident of passing
- Club admits to he having drug problem
- Recently been to hospital
- Anger amongst team mates (re: Judd)
- Coach is a pharmacist
- Rumours of Cousins flying out to Arizona

I may be no expert but with all these points and quite probably more I've neglected to mention, it's hard to think how there AREN'T any shady doings at the Eagles.

How can you be admitted into a drug-rehab centre, but be confident in passing a drug test at the same time

How long do drugs stay in your system?

Let's draw all the cards up in dot points:

- Suspiciously avoids training day of test
- Someone convinces Ben he would be better to fail a test than be sanctioned for skipping one.
- Someone gives Ben advice on how to pass a drug test (this is fact may have been the first dot)

- Tests later and very, very confident of passing
- Club admits to he having drug problem
- Recently been to hospital
- Anger amongst team mates (re: Judd)
- Coach is a pharmacist
- Rumours of Cousins flying out to Arizona

Added a few dots for you . . . speculation of course.

Coke is out by about 8 hrs. 12 hours at most. Anyone who thinks he does ice is a dimwit. You couldnt play to his level and be on ice at the same time. Its a damn sight unrealistic

Lets be honest. Would Cousins have taken the test if he thought he was gonna fail.

Cousins' next move.

" Awww geeez i'm sorry..i've been an absolute **** and hurt my family, friends and the mighty Wet Toast Beagles"
(actual meaning..."farrrrrk i had a great time...i did anything i liked...i was king o the world for awhile there")

" I've let down so many ppl in the process and i want everyone to know just how sorry i am ....i promise to do whatever i can to recover "
(actual meaning..." i hope those ignorant tossers out there swallow this horseshyt so i can get back on the team ")

" I want everyone to know that alcohol is a terrible thing and i can only ask forgiveness of those i've hurt "
(actual meaning..."club told me to put on a few tears and say this for the kiddies and media")

" I dont know at this stage what the futire holds but i'm going to do everything possible to return as soon as i can...thats if my fantastic club feels i still have something to contribute"
(actual meaning..."this oughtta get the sympathy vote and get the public asking the club for me to play again asap....i can get a nice paid holiday out of this if i play my cards right...btw is anyone holding ?"

OK Honestly, why would he miss the test?

You take it and fail and your name doesn't get released and you are given no sanctions until the 3rd positive test.

You skip it and you are out of the game for at least 1 year.

Test was in competition though wasnt it. I cant remember the drug rules but hed get suspended anyway:confused:

Regardless, the penalty for testing positive can be no greater than not taking the test at all. If he refuses, he gets essentially the maximum penalty and people believe he's guilty anyway.

I have no doubt Ben was councilled by the club that he'd be smart to just take the test - that's why they are confident he'll be back this year. If you can prove this and Ben's subsequent test is negative, then surely the AFL have to investigate the Eagles? At the very lest Ben should be investigated into why his test was delayed and what happened during the day leading up to his test.

If the Eagles have participated in a scam to help a player avoid detection, then those officials should be booted from the game and the club as a whole should be sanctioned.

The integrity of drug testing and therefore the integrity game itself will be under question if he tests negative.

If they knew he had a drug problem, they should have taken action from the moment they found out!

I don't know of any other sports where you would get away with it.
