UK has had cases declining every day for the last week. Almost down 50% from the 16th of July.

~50,000 a day down to ~25,000 a day

Bit strange that its right after opening up, but welcome. Vaccines work.

They're pretty much at the point where case numbers are irrelevant.

170+ new cases and 60+ infected while in the community. Cases will continue to rise for a long time since the infected in community cases is still increasing. Vaccination is our only hope.

Have had to do the home deliver due to broken ankle which is okay but!
Unfortunately been in and out of Drs &/X-ray over last 2 days so can't avoid those.

EDIT: For reference, the offending article was shared by Dr Naomi Wolf, who has already been suspended from Twitter for spreading misinformation, and whose previous work has been criticised for containing inaccuracies - her new book was actually cancelled by the publisher. She seems to have totally lost the plot since COVID-19. I feel sorry for these people to be honest.

Social media is great, but it doesn't work unless you have good content moderators.

I've observed people down at the local shops not checking in via QR - its making it so hard for contact tracers. Especially when you have so many out in the community
