I hope they get COVID.
I hope NO-ONE gets Covid.
The long term effects on the patient can become "long covid" - - the patient and their family and the added load on health system for years.
The long term effects on our health system - people deferring medical procedures, deferred tests, health staff leaving the system, .....

Let me rephrase

I hope they get COVID and die quickly.

I hope they get COVID.

Trouble is if they get it they will spread it to who knows how many more people... also with the unvaccinated, it's the rest of us that will pay the price because the hospitals will be busy treating them...

As they are now . All sports and events should have to in the future only allow those vaccinated to be allowed in .Then these selfish rats CGAGF

1 case in Sydney has led to 10,000 + such is the spread. Hopefully with higher vaccination rates it slows down things.

Well done Gladys, you got to 1,000 before Buddy.

So every time you see a group of five hanging out in public spaces now you’ll know they’re all fully vaxxed 🙄

And I was sooo looking forward to going to the hairdressers 😢

So does that count as seeding COVID into WA or do we have to wait for a case of transmission? Because if it counts, NSW have managed to spread COVID Delta to every state and territory plus New Zealand. I'm sure Binchicken will be up at the presser tomorrow announcing how it is great news that NSW are helping all the other states live with the virus because that was always the plan.

Gold standard remember

Here's the thing I don't get:

So as more and more people are vaccinated the less likely symptoms are to be evident. Which is the main reason why people go and get tested. Because 1. They have the sniffles or 2. Exposure sites.
If they aren't going to publish specific exposure sites anymore, wouldn't that lead to less people getting tested as more people are vaccinated?

Oh but they have also announced they will not be reporting the number of linked and unlinked cases or the isolation status. If that's not an admission it is out of control and that they have given up all attempts to contain it I don't know what is. How very China of them. Provide the public with the information you want them to have.

yeah but at the same time I feel like we (Victoria) are heading towards the same 'hands up in the air' attitude. Dan the man has already said not much else can be done re: restrictions. so maybe people just live normally now regardless of the restrictions and push premiers to just open up.

will be interesting what nsw govt offer swans/gws. Right now they are back to Melbourne for what i'm assuming, according to the AFL, is as long as they want. But they'd be in hotels. Vic Govt might allow them to stay in air bnbs perhaps? Or will NSW govt allow them to hotel quarantine in Sydney then go home? Or will clubs even want to go home and into lockdown? regardless they will be in lockdown one way or the other.

Just go and spread it , if that stubborn woman running NSW locked down early we in Vic wouldn't be like this , this one has nothing to do with Andrews

I agree that Gladys screwed us all, but it is what it is. Covid is now well entrenched and there's no longer any hope of ever eliminating it, so we might as well get vaccinated and learn to live with it. I don't think these harsh lockdowns and severe restrictions are the way to go anymore.

I'm just tired of this endless greater Sydney lockdown. It's no way to live. It's been going for too long with seemingly minimal effect on the outbreak. At this point, I'm more worried about people's mental health than I am about covid.
