An update and finalised results on the ARIFL comp that was posted in May (pg 161). There were apparently many entries for this from all over the world but the five finalists were:

And finally one that didn't come from anyone here (and by the sounds of it, one of their guys).




The winner was the Irish guy. In my personal opinion, I wasn't sure that the harp would be allowed as I'm pretty sure that's the Guinness logo just in a different colour...

I reckon the neckbar writing is irrelevant for most clubs. The Lions, Swans, and Bulldogs are showing their history through it. It looks fine and adds something. But the Dockers emblem, the NMFC, those Melbourne stars... it just seems to add clutter and a useless design element, just... cos.

The same goes for North and their little logo on the front. Useless. Hawthorn realises that and cleaned it up, and everyone still knows what team that is.

Very true, and I am not disappointed at all, as it is nice to see that my designs are at least being considered and rated highly.

Yeah, this. I made this a couple weeks back for Port. Got rid of the POWER logo and 1870 above the numbers. While I think the 1870 is a nice touch, it clutters things. It looks really crisp this way.
