I feel like the commentators are trying to make a controversy out of a relatively straightforward review.

It seems pretty obvious to me that:
  • Rahul missed his back pad
  • Nicked the ball (spike on snicko)
  • Hit his front pad (rumble on snicko)

In that order. Am I missing something?

The vision/tech they were using for the review seemed to be a bit lacking - this would never have happened at Channel Packer.

Australia 7/67 and looking down the barrel.

Steve Smith gets a golden globe, I suspect the glory days are gone. Marnus is also out of form.

The horror of watching those two bat together was mercifully brief, but Marnus made up for it with the worst 99 minutes in test history.

The selectors won't do it, but I think the time has come for Smith or Labuschagne to be dropped for someone like Inglis.

lol - there's a Shield match started today between WA and SA, has that ever happened before when Australia was playing a home test? Bancroft out first ball of the match. One of the umpires is called Dionysius - God of wine, vegetation, fertility, festivity, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, and theatre.

I know it’s a year away, but I dare say the destiny of the urn for the next Ashes series is line ball at best, if our batting doesn’t improve then the poms would surely be favourites?
