Why don't the Thunder actually use their namesake on their designs? They used to have thunder on the shirts but now it's just plain? Take a leaf out of the scorchers book.

Why are teams in the BBL so lazy, but can't blame it due to the shit logos

Gradient piping looks cheap though
It's the flag. Green, white and saffron. Similar to this:

I actually like what they've done with the gradient flag

You can tell Akkaps is Indian when he uses "saffron" instead of orange... :p

Probably didn't know he could have his removed?
Australia batsman Usman Khawaja has said he may follow fellow muslim Fawad Ahmed and refuse to wear the team's shirt with a VB beer brand logo on it.

Khawaja, the first muslim to wear the baggy green, told The Sydney Morning Herald he has considered whether it is possible to wear a shirt which does not have the logo of Cricket Australia's key sponsor, the VB brewery.

"I understand what Fawad is doing, and I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about it," Khawaja said.

"I thought about it for this Ashes campaign. But I probably haven't been in the Australian team for long enough to worry about it too much."

Leg-spinner Ahmed was exempted from wearing the VB logo in England this summer after he explained that it clashed with his Islamic faith - a move which sparked a row and criticism that he should therefore not accept sponsorship money from companies promoting alcohol.

Saffron is nice but obviously the marketing team got lazy with "India green"
Saffron is more of a secondary colour on the India shirt.

Also, in some interpretations, saffron represents the Hindus, and the green represents the Muslims. To add to this, India is also known as Hindustan in some instances.

Uzzie has worn the VB logo in last years odi's. My theory is that its because he is playing against his counrty of origin and he would have relative and people in his community adding bit more pressure for him to not wear it. Uzzie however seems to be not as religious as guys like amla and ahmed.

I think they could have got the colours of the flag better. Im not a huge fan of the faded colours and it looks like BLK were in charge of the manufacturing. Its good to see India sticking with Nike and it looks like they wlll the only country to be with one of the mega brands in international cricket.

I think you'll find the Thunder used to have lightning on their shirts, as it's a little bit hard to draw a sound:tonguewink:
However, why it was removed is anyone's guess.
