Heh, I never knew those kits were Adidas. Pretty cool.
In the mid to late 90's adidas had the contract for the training kit while ISC was still doing the on field kits. I think ISC might have had both on and off field in 2000 before the switch to Fila.

It's strange seeing the best Aussies using New Balance. I helped coach at a juniors clinic at my cricket club and all the kids rocked up with their New Balance Steve Smith bats. It's such a strange brand to see on a cricket bat from someone who grew up in a time where everyone had either a Grey Nicolls or a Kookaburra.

I told the kids that when I was their age, I had a Kookaburra Dean Jones bat, and they were all a bit puzzled until we went into the club for our lunch break and it was raining during the Sydney test, so they were playing the 1987 Ashes test where Jones hit 184*.

As a kid, this was the Holy Grail of bats.

I wouldn't mind seeing BBL clubs creating a clash/away kit. As a scorchers fan I didn't mind that black batman top they wore a few seasons ago and I would like to see a mainly black top as an away top for the. I know they dont really clash that much with the Sixers or renegades but it could be a top they could wear against them on the road.

I don't know about clash kits at this stage, maybe when the league expands. But I think something needs to be done to differentiate the kits of the Heat and Strikers, they're too similar for my liking.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Strikers in a a mostly black kit with blue trim or even black tops with blue pants.

Black pants but even an alternative top if they want to I guess.

Strikers with black sleeves and heat with turquoise sleeves fixes it IMO.

I really wished either the Stars or the Renegades would wear a clash top when they play each other. Unfortunately, for me this will never happen because (2) apparently green and red are contrasting colours; and (2) it's the Melbourne Derby and Eddie McGuire is a campaigner.

Green and red are very contrasting colours.
It's nothing to do with Eddie, because those teams will never need anything for additional contrast.

Also, all this talk about clash kits is bloody stupid, it's cricket, it's blindingly obvious which team is which. I'd say the blokes wielding tree trunks as weapons makes it pretty difficult to miss who's doing what.

The only reason for clash unis in BBL is revenue raising.

That being said I'm not opposed to the idea if they go for black-out alternates, especially the Scorchers who look dope in black.

Red and Green don't contrast... what? Someone needs to revise on Year 8 art class.

Contrast between both teams works better than a crappy clash design IMO.

i agree theres no huge clash in cricket but it would be nice to have 2 kits on board like a few teams in ODI's having a home and an away kit. I

Watching test cricket must be pretty terrible for you then akkaps
What's worse is playing cricket. If I'm on the boundary, most of the time I cannot see the ball of the bat. And it makes it worse when trees on the opposite side of the ground.
