I would say that all the major cricketing nations in the world would have to have viable T20 competitions, which are watched and recognised by international audiences, before another Champions League could be run again. I reckon there would have to be brand recognition by other nations before a another attempt could be made. Unfortunately, this would require a concerted, coordinated effort to make sure there is some sort of free-to-air coverage of each country's competition around the world, be it highlights or the finals series from each country. It would also require a calendar which allows stand alone time for each competition, so that each country has the global T20 spotlight on them once a year. If every competition is relatively short, it could be done; and it could build to a Champions League finale every calendar year.
