McDonald said we'd see a different Marnus.

We did, he got out quicker
Marnus is cooked mentally & needs to go. Completely defensive mindset.
Out not offering a shot.

Bring in Konstas to open & McSweeney into the middle order.

May need some other shake ups too...

The signs were there last summer. Pakistan bossed two of the three tests but found a way to lose 3-0.

Losing to the West Indies at the Gabba should have also been a pretty big wake up call.

We beat NZ but they have a habit of pathetically giving up against us for some reason.

Weird that Cummins was the nightwatchman. Surely Lyon is both better at that role and a less valuable wicket to lose.

Edit: Or he just straight up promoted himself to number 3. Which is a more rational decision

Somewhat surprisingly the Aussies survived to lunch, currently 5/104.

Head is easily the best of the Australian batsmen so far (Carey has yet to bat), currently on 63 and has been going at close to a run a ball for the last 10 overs. Looks like he's having a good day. Pity the rest of the Aussie batsmen haven't had good days this test.

yet he still managed to finish the summer with the lowest average of all our top-6 batsmen.

He has all the consistency of 2 day old custard. When it works for him he looks amazing, but he fails far more often than not.
And I guess Fogarty is still shit?

At least youre consistent - just like 2 day old custard I guess

I just like reminding you of your shit calls

Fogarty bad
Head bad

But carry on wayward son
Head not bad... but horrendously inconsistent. Head is like the nursery rhyme about the little girl with a curl in the middle of her forehead - when she was good, she was very, very good; but when she was bad she was horrid.

... and I'll take this as meaning your answer to my previous question was the latter option.
