So... overnight declaration to maximise the likelihood of a win? Or force India to field again tomorrow to reduce the possibility of a win?
I'm batting again.

Play starts early, if we can get through 20 minutes, add 20 runs and make Bumrah bowl again sore, then that's fine.

This last session has been huge for us, could be series defining.

Declare, we need the win & doubt they can score the runs in the overs @ 3.5.

McDonald can't seem to see it either.

He's a worse coach than Langer was
Potentially.

Selectors are a bigger problem & crucial period with an old side & lack of decisions to manage transition.

What would your World Test Championship team look like?

1 Y Jaiswal Ind 1682 runs @ 54.3
2 B Duckett Eng 1460 @ 36.8 (lucky!)
3 K Williamson NZ 1152 @ 54.9
4 J Root Eng 1968 @ 54.7: 17 wickets @ 43.1
5 H Brook Eng 1463 @ 50.4
6 P Mendis SL 1049 @ 74.9; 3 wickets @ 30.7
7 M Rizwan Pak 666 @ 47.6
8 R Jadeja Ind 623 @ 34.6; 55 wickets @ 23.2
9 M Henry NZ 48 wickets @ 18.6
10 K Rabada SA 41 @ 18.8
11 J Bumrah Ind 74 @ 15.2

12 J Hazelwood Aus 57 @ 19.7

Bumrah aside, it's India's youth that have them in this series.

How we havent been able to see that and follow it, is beyond me
How can you say Bumrah aside?

If it wasn't for Bumrah - and even with our terrible selections - we'd be 3-1 up. He's been far and away the most dominant player of the series.

Besides, who's the amazing youth that should be getting selected and isn't?

Surely you don't think the selectors have got it 100% right for this series...

Oh, absolutely not.

I just think it's not as simplistic as a youth policy. I think we've selected players who aren't 100% fit, and we need to be more ruthless with that, and with rotations.

I think both us and India are overrated at the moment. This isn't a great Indian side either.

Yeah, to score at 3.5 you have to take risks.

If Michale Clarke was captain of this team, India would have batted the last 30 mins. Guy is a dead set dong but he was a super attacking captain
I would have sent the message out with an hour to go to go all out attack and see how many extra runs we can get - then set them half hour to bat

We need to set ourselves up the best we can for a win and not putting on runs has given India a sniff of a draw and an opportunity to win the toss in Sydney and bat for 3 days
