Same as always. And it turns from day 1. No huge need for more than two seamers as Webster can play the 'Funky' Miller role in opening the bowling then reverting to spin. I reckon they only will play one of Starc or Boland plus three spinners.
Will be one of the selection dilemmas whether to play 1 or 2 quicks. Unless a complete dustbowl, reckon we play 2 & plenty of part-time spin options.

Head, Marnus, McSweeney & Webster can all bowl spin in addition to Lyon & Kuhnemann.
Should be plenty.

1 Head
2 Konstas
3 Labuschagne
4 Smith
5 McSweeney
6 Webster
7 Carey
8 Starc
9 Lyon
10 Kuhnemann
11 Boland

Yeah that would not surprise me. Hoping young Konstas goes well but suspecting Webster might surprise with what looks like a really solid technique. Hopefully he knows how to sweep. As a tall man Matt Hayden made huge runs on turning wickets with that shot. I think Greene got a hundred doing similar

Yeah, Webster's height should help batting to get down to smother the ball.

Important thing is we take in different types of spin options to make the most of the conditions.

It's why I would probably play Lyon in 1 test & Murphy in the other so they can do plenty of the grunt work.

Would like to see Connolly in 1 test too.

JFC, Ian Chapell thinks Smith is still our best batsman
Yeah, that's living in the past.

5 - Head
8 - Smith
13 - Labuschagne
17 - Khawaja
29 - Green
36 - Carey
76 - Marsh
78 - Webster after only 1 test!
100 - Cummins

How is Marsh so high!
He's effectively in the 11th best team, so that's not too high... particularly for an Australian

Only Head is effectively in the best side.

Really looking forward to the Sri Lankan tour as I have no idea what to expect. Any word on tv coverage? Last I heard nobody had them yet?
The expectation is that Fox will snap them up with a last minute bid

I'll be relieved when I hear confirmation though

Subcontinent cricket has the best timezone of any nation for tests

A classic choke by England in the Womens ODI today. Failing to chase 180.

For all the debate about Mitchell Marsh lately, nobody seemed to notice that the spirit of Geoff Marsh's strike-rate seemed to temporarily occupy Amy Jones for England, who scored 47* off 103.

Given they had such a small target i don't necessarily think it's a bad thing.
