Mags,

Well we played in front of over a million people in 1997 (average 50,000 per game) and we finished 14th!! The last time Collingwood finished towards the top of the ladder (1992) they played in front of crowds that were similar to what Essendon have been drawing the last two years.

There is really not much of a difference between Essendon and Collingwood, but Essendon have certainly climbed ahead of the Pies over the last 10 years. More younger people are barracking for the Bombers these days than the Pies, which is where the Bombers have the edge. However, both Collingowod and Essendon are pretty close in terms of support. Essendon are still in front though.

True. OK then , the top ten biggest attendences to home and away feature which team 9 times out of ten? Hint..it is not Collingwood.

And who is it that holds the record for the highest home & away attendance? That's right, Melbourne! Doesn't really make sense does it.

So you're saying your supporters are bandwagoners and will jump on when you get success?

All sides have there bandwagoners (Yes even Collingwood) but Im sayin Essendon have more and its true.

Essendon Teenys that like the Backstreet Boys are ur main supporter base, Be very carefully dont wanna lose those ones.

Wanna know an interesting little fact? The Backstreet Boys happen to be my favourite band. I'm 100% into pop music. I'm a girl, I fall into the teenage age group (15), and my favourite player is Matthew Lloyd. I think a lot of the players are good looking.

For all of these reasons I am branded a bandwagon jumper, or a teeny bopper supporter. Let me tell you something. I am a teeny bopper person, but NOT when it comes to supporting my football club. I was born a Bomber and have stayed that way all my life, so don't anyone dare suggest I'm a teeny bopper fan.

Which club has featured in 4 of the top 5 biggest crowds of all time, and 7 of the top 10???

Hint.....they beat those bombers last night!

Grand Finals don't count. The crowd is always a sell-out, so it doesn't accurately reflect the two clubs support. The second biggest crowd of all time is 119,000 for Hawthron vs St.Klda in 1971 in the Grand Final, yet this doesn't reflect the supporter base of the Hawks or Saints.

In home and away matches, Carlton only feature once in the top 7 drawing matches.
