What stands out to me (other than the obvious) is how little we're scoring from outside 50. We probably have more players capable of consistently kicking goals from 55-60 out than any other team. We need to start taking advantage of our ability to score at long range. This would make us much more difficult to set up against.

If I can use texas hold'em as an example.. if you play a flush draw the same way everytime and it's the only time you play like that you become very predictable very quickly and your opponent can react accordingly. If however you decide to play your low pocket pairs the same way you play your flush draws suddenly there is uncertainty around what you've got; so even if you're mathematically against the odds on your pocket pairs the range you're presenting gives you an advantage.

In the same way if we start looking for targets on the 50 meter arc like Tex and Smith, while those shots may have a lower % chance of coming off each time we are still ahead as a total plan because the opposition aren't sure when we are or aren't going to take that option.
Much delayed, but I remember this from the Richmond game, several players kicked them from 50 and it was discussed as a valuable trait to have. Not really seen since then though.

Something I noticed that I hadn't before without reading or watching this... Can you pick it?

What is it?

I spotted the tattoo as well. Was looking for something a bit more "less obvious" . Which I couldn't find. So went back to the tattoo and I am certain it's a encryption for "crows for life". :)
I saw the L and looked for the J but it was too curly. So CFL?

In light of Phil Walshs comment last year about Van Gogh you will be pleased to hear that there will be an exhibition of his paintings in Melbourne from April to June of 2017.

Be a good thing to visit when the AFC are in Melbourne

He was an amazing painter. I've been lucky to see a lot of his paintings already and they just appear 3D when you are looking at them and you have to remind yourself this is something that is painted on a flat surface. Incredibly talented artist.

Here's a drinking game, the next time Alistair Clarkson has a press conference , every time he says "UMM" have a shot. Tonight he said it 119 times. (My sons girlfriend pointed this out, and she doesn't follow much footy)

Hey, whats going on with Menzel? I was really excited when we grabbed him. Is he a fizzer?
Bicks said that when betts came to the club in his first preseason he said he'd never done anything so hard in his life and didn't think he'd get through it. I don't think carltons fitness is overly great.
Might take 2 preseasons to get him up to scratch.

Roger, I knew that there was a fitness issues early on, I wasn't sure if we were happy with the progress or not.

Sorry to intrude but Mark Maclure just said that the Crouch brothers weren't ball winners and were outside players :drunk:

Can't believe some of these flogs get paid for this..
easiest job in the world, if you could handle all the brown-nosing
