Might wanna recheck his mail. Cross still had bleeding in calf last week and the grand final is Saturday. As for Aker he frequents my wife's business regulary and his kids are very entrenched in local community so that along with my own connections seems unlikely.

Not that absurd. People gossip about changes at their work all the time. An AFL club is no different.

So your suggesting a list manager a few weeks before trade period has gossiped to the physio about 3 clubs and then not only that information but also news about a regional club plus the suns coaching roles has been passed to a BF poster isn't absurd?
 
Crows are not going to offer more for Gibbs than they did last year. it will be less as he is one more year older.
It will be a min of a Late 1st round from 15 to 17, and maybe a 3rd. Crows will be comfortable walking away from a deal with Carlton if they ask too much.

Lever deal is separate as it about a 21-year-old who is demanding 800k some reports of 900k, Dee's need a Lever type player to push to the next level. Crows Know this and also they Know that North, Collingwood, Saints, and Bulldogs, would be very interested if it went to PSD it will not happen but the threat is there. So a Deal with Melb will get done. They would be looking at 2017 1st and 2018 1st or 2nd depending on who better at the table.
Crows will want to get more pick in the 2018 draft and will push for that,

The list manager would talk to people who talk to people. Do you think a physio just knows about Dale Thomas's crook ankle and nothing else? People in those AFL environments hear all sorts of things.

This forum is so pointless anyway, people come on here with a potential trade and it's shut down. You could hear about Buddy Franklin to GWS from about fifteen credible sources – CEOs, media people, players – and because it didn't happen, you'd be getting shit for spreading falsities. Then there's the stuff that has happened or is true but is not something that ever came/comes out.

Besides why are Carlton fans so appalled by any offer for Gibbs that isn't Lever and a second rounder or something? Dude is bog average, soft, about 30... like you aren't trading him out when he was 22 and had potential, and you aren't even dealing with a declining player who once actually was in the top 5-10 mids in the game. If Sam Mitchell and Jordan Lewis were at the Blues, people would be asking for Hogan and Sloane.

Lol. He wouldn't get a game in our forward line. Conditional footballer are not welcome. We'd have 30 players picked in front of him easily and he'd be in the vfl. May as well stay at Melb.

No offence to your argument but he's a Carlton player, contracted and we don't have to trade Gibbs for anything. We value him higher than you, so who cares, we will keep him than take a first rounder and some steak knives. We hold all the cards and are happy to keep him (at age 28 btw). He will dominate the competition for atleast 2 more years.

That's because we are focussing on being a learning environment at the moment. We will go past Melbourne in no time. Nearly beat them this year twice without our best side. Knocked you out of a finals chance in 2016 too with a very limited team.

Realistically watts would of been playing vfl at Melbourne all year had hogan not had the various issues. Weideman is better, MacDonald is better and you can't play that many talls these days.

Our talks of McKay, curnow, casboult and silvagni are either young and developing or better than watts so we wouldn't be playing him.

Watts was one of our best when Hogan was out and if you think Weideman is better you have literally no idea about footy.

Look a top it this way. I'd take weideman or hogan at Carlton well before I'd take watts. No matter how much Melbourne supporter rave about how good his year was. He also had one of the worst ever final games after coming back from injury. Playing anyone one else on your list those last two games would of got you into finals.

Edit: obviously a huge over reaction by me but **** he was bad.
