The funny thing is if Essendon rattled out all the excuses coming from the Crowies we would be inclined to believe them because they self reported last time.
But because the Crows and Trigg have a history of being dirty rotten filthy lying cheats no-one believes a word they say.

I don't see why you Crowies are getting so upset.
It's not like your reputation is being tarnished. You are already convicted cheats.
It's not like you can't afford a fine, you always tell us you are rolling in cash.
And it's not like losing some draft picks is going to diminish your premiership chances for the next five years as you are already zero chance.
It's like the Milat family complaining if Ivan gets hit with another murder charge. Other than airing the truth and getting a bit of closure it really makes no difference.

Interesting to note that the Camry's thought that Jeremy Cameron was a done deal to the club. I suspect he was asked to sign a contract while playing with the Giants and warning bells sounded and he re-signed with the Giants.

I'd like to pose the question as to why they felt the need to cheat in the first place?
I mean why not use the rich heritage of your club to attract and maintain players, rather than offer shady deals that only serve to flush your cred down the toilet of immorality?
Surely this is part of the reason as to why Cows membership numbers and crowd averages are not experiencing the same growth rates as their cross-town rivals.

I really think it stems from not realising that the AFL is a national competition and old $ANFL cronies like Whicker and Basheer have no power to bail them out in the AFL. They've let a culture grow out of control of 'oh, we f***ed up but the $ANFL' will sort it out. Guys like Trigg and Chapman rely on Boys Club's to cover their incompetence and the Cows don't belong to any Boys Club's at a national level
