If Buddy is relying on umpire favouritism to become an out and out superstar he should hang up the boots now.
Incidentally, look at Selwood's skewed free kick count since a certain club president bleated about it. He hasn't changed the way he plays (that being tough and fair) but he is now a different beast in the eyes of the umpires.
Seems to be doing better in recent weeks though.

For Collingwood right now:
Ablett
Franklin
Sandilands
In that order.
Basically Ablett is exactly what Collingwood need in the midfield to win a flag. Franklin could be the most valuable player in the comp. but couldn doesn't mean is or will be. Sandilands is the ruckman I'd want but Natanui might change that in time. Kruezer wouldn't be a abd cnsolation if you wanted a long term ruck either but the man to win the flag now is Sandilands. Pre Jolly he may have been my first choice.
The player I would actually target for Collingwood though would be Deludio. He has pace, he can kick and he has some footy ability as well. He's at a club going nowhere (sorry Tiger fans but that how I see it) and seems to be languishing.
