Hey Lemms, what is the pinnacle of your leadership group's time at Rupo?. Three Grand Final defeats?. Keep up that winning culture hey?... Might join you guys for the big celebrations when you finish home and away on top of the ladder. Should be a massive night. On past form, the celebrations should last well into the finals series...

Think the Aquinas ones boys need to be pretty sure of themselves for their own game before carrying on like red hot favourites during the early game - particularly when their twos are getting rolled by a considerable amount.

Please explain? Pretty sure a bit of friendly banter (well what i can recall from watching the first 3 quarters anyway) isnt a bad thing? No threats? No swearing on abuse?

Anyway look forward to ur one eyes view of any so called incidents?

the boys were just cheerin on the great Bazzalenko having an early stint in the 2s. did you like my new do by the way??

harmless fun SDP, followed by a cracking finish in the 1s, well done to your boys on the win, was a good hard contested game.

roopo boys word from the street is this guy is not from werribee

maybe one of your own stirring the pot eh....

Nope - sorry boys not from up that way - not sure if they have the internet up there yet? And I never said I was from Werribee. Just making an observation.

I'd suggest that "Stuey" would want to hang his head in shame actually. A discraceful effort to resort to that sort of low as coach of a team. Maybe if he showed a bit of discipline and true football spirit his team would actually learn to follow suit.

I only wish I still played because there is nothing better (read easier) than playing against a mob who attack the man and don't have the courage to put their own head over the footy. A weak way to play that rarley results in any form of success.
Oh Dear! Well you little little man, now that you are in the comforts of your home and behind the sanctity of your computer you go and unleash such utter rubbish.

It seems your brain must be Awol because at no time did i instruct any of my players to hurt or target players off the ball. In fact in my Approx 50 games of coaching the two's never have used the tactics that you accuse me of. So when did i run out and hit someone or do anything untoward? Did you hear me say to my players to hit blokes???? No you dill, in fact i had and i say again had nothing but praise for you blokes until i got home and read your pathetic rant.

What i will say Awol is that i look forward to the return game more trhan you can imagine now.

Have to say the boys from Fitzroy gave us a great welcome after the game.
This other trash might be coming from the idiots drinking over the fence.
Good win by us and very focused from start to finish.
Same needs to happen this week to compete with an unbeaten side.
Always great to step up to a challenge.

Sorry mate, i wasn't suggesting that you instructed them to do so. I don't believe that anyone entrusted in a coaching role would ever do that, I was simply questioning if they were following your lead (disciplinewise), having quoted Grum's previous post. I am certainly not just hiding behind my computer either, it is just that this is a forum for posting and replying to comments, so that is what i have done.

I hope that the return contest will be a ripping hard fought match, where the ball is the sole object, but players play some real hard, couragous footy. It will be great to see as i believe that the match will be influential on the finals make up.

P.S. How did you know I am only a little bloke??

I notice a couple off to Elsternwick Park Tuesday night. Dan Clark and Cam Lee from the Fitz - Werribee game, Davey K and Declan McGovern from the Roopo - OM game. What's the JD? who pushed who?

Dan Clark and Cam Lee from the Fitz games report is a disgrace by the umpires. I saw the blue the boys had and there was no malace in it, definately not reportable. Dan was doing his job as a tagger on Cam but it went a bit two far and Cam retaliated and pushed back which the umpire thought was a reason to report. If you watch the Werribee games week in week out, you will notice a min of 3 players are put on Cam Lee so he was bound to reteliate eventually. Hopefully for Cam Lee he walks away from this, and continues to play fine footy.
Also, if the umps are going to report someone why not look at #18 for fitz. He threw one too many elbows around on saturday which now has Aidan Murphy #15 in hospital and out for 4 weeks. A push is reportable but an elbow to the throat isnt? The umpires from saturdays game were definately questionable.

Kinna sucked the ruppo bloke into head butting him and giving away a free kick and a goal. Kinna was left with a blood nose so id expect Declan to get a couple of weeks, long trip from ruppo to elsternwick. Surely you'd just accept the two weeks.

I see Declan copped 3 weeks for headbutting Davey K, whilst Cam Lee received the standard 2 weeks for bopping Dan Clark.

Clarky was furious when told at 6.30pm last night he had to skip training or risk 1 week suspension for failing to attend to give evidence. Dropped more "f bombs" than an episode of Kitchen Nightmares before he got to his car to drive down to HQ.

Man loves to train. ;)

Crap rule, ran by an even worse tribunal.

Suspension Happy. Everyone pays. No one is innocent.

definately a waste of time for both Dan Clark and Cam Lee to go down. I've heard around this morning that the decision to give Cam Lee weeks was already made before they got there.
Very disappointing considering the umps recollections of the incident didnt even match.

What's everyone's opinion on the best and worst grounds of D1 for this year?

I thought mentone grammar playing fields the home of the panthers is a bit below par. Due to the ground manager being more focused on his wedding to his irish lady and preparations for the honeymoon.

Whitefriars is in superb nick after the work was done

It's got a strange "bounce" to it though Eddie. The surface is sensational, but almost too soft, because the bounce wasn't that great. It reminded me of a lot of golf course fairway. That aside though, it's the best I've played on in a while.

Brunswick Street is just hanging in there, but all the sand can be a blessing in disguise, as it's pretty soft when you smack your head into it ! In the years I've played at NOBs it's never been great, but never been terrible either, this year was no exception. Rupo wasn't too bad.
